PREFORM EXTRUSION MOLDING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR EXTRUSION MOLDING, AND PREFORM
A process includes: supplying a main resin from outer and inner flow channel, to a joined flow channel at a predetermined supply velocity for a predetermined time; supplying a second resin from a middle flow channel to the joined flow channel simultaneously with the main resin at a predetermined supply velocity for a certain time within the predetermined time; and sliding a shut-off pin to bring the pin forefront to a predetermined position near an outlet of the inner flow channel, open to the joined flow channel, before the second resin is supplied, or during a time starting after a time from the start of the second resin supply and ending with the termination of the supply, so that the velocity of main resin supply from the inner flow channel to the joined flow channel is reduced to a predetermined level by adjusting the degree of aperture for the outlet.
Method for producing a multilayered preform and a preform
The invention relates to a multi-component injection molding method for producing a sleeve-shaped preform as well as to a perform which has at least two layers, said method comprising at least two process steps including at least two cavities and at least one injection mold core that can be used for both cavities, and wherein during the first process step, the first layer which has at least one first and at least one second area extending partially in the circumferential direction of the preform, is injected onto the injection mold core within the first cavity, with the second area having a substantially lower layer thickness than the first area, and during the second process step, the second layer is deposited on the first layer which is located on the injection mold core in the second cavity in such a way that only the second area of the first layer is completely covered by the second layer, or during the first process step, the first area of the first layer is deposited partially on the injection mold core within the first cavity, with the remaining areas being covered by the second layer during a second process step within a second cavity.
Preform extrusion molding apparatus, method for extrusion molding and preform

MEDICAL FLUID CONTAINER
A medical fluid container includes a container interior and a connecting piece that forms an inner channel. The container interior can be accessed from the outside via the connecting piece. The connecting piece has an outer thread on a connecting piece longitudinal section. The inner channel expands in a substantially conical manner in a region of the outer thread, starting from the container interior, to then preferably transition into a first cylindrical channel shape which extends to a free opening of the connecting piece. A method can be used for producing the medical fluid container from a container blank.
Lightweight plastic container and preform
A plastic preform is provided that includes a closed bottom portion; a lower portion extending upwardly from the bottom portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the lower portion. The neck portion includes a support flange having an upper and lower surface, threads, a tamper-evident formation, and a dispensing opening at the top of the neck portion. In an embodiment, the weight of the neck portion is 3.0 grams or less; and the vertical distance from the top of the dispensing opening to the lower surface of the support flange, including the threads and the tamper-evident formation, is 0.580 inches or less. A container and method for making a container are also disclosed.
METHOD OF STABILIZING A PLASTIC AEROSOL CONTAINER
A plastic aerosol container includes a main body portion that is constructed and arranged to withstand aerosol pressurization within a range that is about 50-300 psig. The plastic aerosol container also includes a finish portion that is unitary with the main body portion. The finish portion may be threaded or unthreaded. The finish portion has a side wall, an upper sealing surface, at least one helical thread and a support ledge beneath the helical thread. Reinforcement structure is positioned beneath the support ledge for reinforcing the finish portion against deformation due to the pressurization. A method of stabilizing a plastic aerosol container is also disclosed.
Lightweight plastic container and preform
A plastic container is provided that includes a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion; and a closure. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.
LIGHTWEIGHT PLASTIC CONTAINER AND PREFORM
A plastic container is provided that includes a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion; and a closure. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.
Preform and container comprising reinforcing elements
The present invention relates to a plastic preform (200) for a container (300) comprising at least one elongate reinforcing element (210), and obtained by injection-molding. The present invention further relates to a container (300) blow-molded from such a preform (200), and comprising at least one reinforcing element (320), and having a continuous and smooth outer surface (310b).
Container preform with tamper evidence finish portion
A preform is provided for blow-molding to form a container. The preform includes a finish portion for rotatably engaging a closure to seal contents within an interior of the container. The finish portion comprises a cylindrical body that begins at an opening to the interior and extends to and includes a tamper evidence ledge. A mirror polished sealing surface inside the finish portion cooperates with a plug seal of the closure to seal the container. Threads outside the finish portion engage with similar threads inside the closure. Thread starts of the threads reduce potential damage to the threads during installation of the closure. The thread starts may include a start pitch that is greater than a thread pitch of the threads. A handling valley disposed between the threads and the tamper evidence ledge facilitates air-conveying the container along a manufacturing assembly line.
