Method for producing a mould segment of a vulcanizing mould, mould segment, and vulcanizing mould
A method for producing a mold segment of a vulcanizing mold for a pneumatic vehicle tire for forming the profiling of a tread, having a metallic base part (6) with a mold side with ribs (3) which form channels encircling or delimiting profile elements. A rib skeleton (8) consisting of ribs (8), the arrangement and the profile of which at least partially corresponds to the arrangement and the profile of ribs (3) forming channels, is milled from the base part (6), inserts (7) with peripheral frame parts (7b) are built up by means of an additive method, the inserts (7) being inserted into the rib skeleton (8) and the frame parts (7b) completing the ribs (8) of the rib skeleton (8) to form the ribs (3) forming the channels.
Curing mold for a tire, comprising means for cutting a rubber mold seam
A curing mold (10) for a tire comprises: a plurality of circumferentially distributed sectors (18) that are intended to mold the tread of the tire, at least one sipe blade (40) intended to mold a void in the tread, the sipe blade extending over two adjacent sectors (18) such that the sipe blade comprises a part (40a, 40b) in each of the two sectors, the two parts of the sipe blade being separated, in the closed position of the mold, by a space (26) that creates flash during the curing of a tire, the parts of the sipe blade comprising cutting means (38) that are able to cut off the flash during the opening of the mold.
Insert for tire mold lining element
An insert (36) is designed to be incorporated in the composition of a fitting element (24) and to form part of the molding surface (40) of the fitting element, the molding surface comprising at least one intersection (32) of at least a first (42) and a second (44) projecting pattern. The insert comprises a junction (46) which is designed to be joined with a molding element (38) integral with the body (34) of the fitting element, the junction (46) dividing the second pattern (44) into a first (48) and a second (50) part, the insert (36) forming the first pattern (42) and the first part (48) of the second pattern (44), and the molding element (38) forming the second part (50) of the second pattern (44), the junction (46) going away from the intersection (32).
Tire mold
A tire tread mold which has a tread mold portion which is divided in into a plurality of mold segments having an inner face curved along the circumferential direction according to an arc angle , each of the mold segments including laterally extending blades forming projections from their inner face; wherein the mold segments have a first end portion, a second end portion and a central portion; wherein laterally extending blades of the central portion extend in the operating direction, and wherein laterally extending blades of the end portions are inclined blades that extend in a direction forming an angle with the operating direction, with angle being less than half of angle .
Two-part mold for vulcanizing tires
A mold (20) for vulcanizing tires comprises an upper part (24) and a lower part (26), the upper part and the lower part being able to move axially between an open position and a closed position in which the lower part and the upper part meet along a joint line (31). A mold part (24, 26) has at least one sipe blade (50), all or some of the sipe blades extending substantially axially or helically on the radially internal surface (30) of the mold, all or some of the sipe blades being: contiguous at one of their ends with a protruding element (46) and contiguous at the other of their ends with a recessed element (44) or with the other part of the mold, and able to move relative to the tire in the wake of the protruding element (46), during opening of the mold.
UNDULATED SIPE-MOLDING MEMBER FOR IMPROVED TIRE PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMICAL MOLD FABRICATION
A tire mold and method of making a tire mold having a plurality of sipes, each sipe is arranged between opposing surfaces of the tread within the tread thickness and each sipe having a thicker frame portion (40) which meets with and extends beyond and into the ground engaging surface of the tire tread and a thinner portion (42) forming a plurality of projections (36) on at least one of opposing sides of the sipe thickness, the plurality of projections being spaced apart, each projection has a height no greater than the thickness of the frame portion of the sipe.
TIRE TREAD WITH A BOTTOM GROOVE AND A REINFORCING STRUCTURE WITH ANGLES
A tire tread comprising: a first tread element with a first radially outermost surface, a second tread element with a second radially outermost surface, a groove between the first tread element and the second tread element. The groove comprises a first section with a side surface which is inclined with respect to the first radially outermost surface of a first inclination angle; and a second section comprising a radially outermost portion with an inclined surface which is inclined with respect to the first radially outermost surface of a second inclination angle. The latter is narrower than the first inclination angle. The first inclination angle and the second inclination angle exhibit an inclination difference ranging from 20 to 80. The second section comprises a radially innermost portion with a passage, a slit portion connecting the radially innermost portion to the radially outermost portion. The slit portion is narrower than the passage.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE TIRE, TIRE MOLD AND PROCESS
Tire comprising a tread portion that is divided in the tire width direction between a first shoulder portion, a central portion, and a second shoulder portion; wherein the surface of the tread portion has a profile with a concave shape over part of its width; process and tire mold thereof.
