Process for building tyres and tyre obtained thereby
A pair of annular inserts of elastomeric material is circumferentially applied by spiraling around a laying surface of an auxiliary drum. Then a plurality of strip-like elements disposed in parallel side by side relationship with each other in the circumferential extension of the laying surface is applied onto the auxiliary drum, so as to form at least one first belt layer. Respectively opposite end portions of each strip-like element are radially superposed, each against one of the annular inserts, so that each of the annular inserts projects from a respective end edge of the strip-like element. The cap structure formed on the auxiliary drum is coupled to a carcass structure through toroidal conformation of the latter, in such a manner that the radially external ends of sidewall portions previously manufactured on the carcass plies are associated with the axially external ends of the annular inserts.
METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR CONTROLLING A MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF A COMPONENT OF A TYRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
A method and equipment for controlling a manufacturing process of a component of a tyre for vehicle wheels, wherein at least one continuous elongated element fed by a supplying member is placed on a forming support by means of at least one pressing member active on the at least continuous elongated element along an application direction. During the manufacturing of the component of the tyre, at successive sampling times T.sub.i, the value P.sub.i of a quantity indicative of the position of the pressing member is acquired along the application direction, where i is an integer greater than or equal to 1, T.sub.i=i*1/f, and f is the sampling frequency.
Process for building tyres for vehicle wheels
In a process for building tyres for vehicle wheels, at least one tread band (9) or other elastomeric component of a tyre (2) is made by applying at least one continuous elongated element (14) according to a plurality of turns (C) around a forming drum (15) rotating around a geometric rotation axis (X) thereof. The continuous elongated element (14) is made by the action of extruding a first material through an extrusion nozzle (16), to form an inner core (33) of said continuous elongated element (14) exiting from an outlet opening (18) of the extrusion nozzle (16). During the extrusion, a second material different from the first material is conveyed around the first material, at the extrusion nozzle (16) and upstream of the outlet opening (18), to form a coating layer (32) which entirely surrounds the inner core (33).
Method for manufacturing pneumatic tire
A method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire includes: using a first cover material and a second cover material in a belt cover material and spirally winding the first cover material from a second side to a shoulder region on a first side; spirally winding the second cover material from the first side to a shoulder region on the second side; spirally winding the first cover material from the shoulder region on the first side to a tire equatorial plane; and spirally winding the second cover material from the shoulder region on the second side to the tire equatorial plane, the first cover material and the second cover material being layered in a region between a portion of the first cover material that is located on the second side and a portion of the second cover material that is located on the first side, thereby forming an overlapping portion.
PROCESS FOR BUILDING TYRES FOR VEHICLE WHEELS

The continuous elongated element (14) is made by the action of extruding a first material through an extrusion nozzle (16), to form an inner core (33) of said continuous elongated element (14) exiting from an outlet opening (18) of the extrusion nozzle (16). Process and apparatus for building tyres for vehicle wheels
An application device for applying a conductive insert on a tyre being processed. The application device includes a supply device for supplying a conductive liquid elastomeric compound, and an applicator having a movable surface for being operatively coupled with the supply device and receiving the conductive liquid elastomeric compound. The movable surface is for being placed in contact with a rotating tyre being processed and for applying the conductive liquid elastomeric compound on at least one coil of axially adjacent and/or partially superimposed coils. The applicator generates depressions in the tyre in a pattern defined by elements in relief and fills the depressions in the tyre with the conductive liquid elastomeric compound to covering the elements as the depressions in the tyre are generated.
