METHOD FOR PRODUCING TANK
Provided are a method for producing a tank with an outer surface profile that allows a thin label to be easily and firmly attached to a surface thereof, and also such a tank. The method for producing the tank, which includes winding fiber bundles containing an uncured resin component in multiple layers around the outer surface of a liner in a first pitch width so as to form a fiber reinforced resin layer, further includes: winding fiber bundles in a second pitch width wider than the first pitch width so as to form a gap with a required width where no fiber bundle is present between adjacent fiber bundles in winding the fiber bundles to form an outermost layer; shaving off a tip end portion of a projection made of a resin that has cured after bleeding into the gap, with a portion of the projection in a predetermined height left unshaved; and attaching a label to a surface obtained through shaving off the tip end portion.
OPEN COMPOSITE SHAFT
A composite shaft assembly including a core structure formed by weaving fibre(s) into an open composite structure. The assembly further includes a first end piece and a second end piece having helically shaped groove(s) and/or axially groove(s) on an outer surface of an end portion of the first and second end piece. Woven into the helical and/or axial groove(s) on the first end piece and at least partially within through hole(s) disposed at an end of the groove(s) is the fibre(s) at a first end portion of the of the core structure. Woven into the helical and/or axial groove(s) on the second end piece and at least partially within through hole(s) disposed at an end of the groove(s) is the fibre(s) at a second end portion of the of the core structure. Structural adhesive(s) are applied over the fibre(s) and allowed to cure to form the composite drive shaft.
CAPPED CARBON FILTER ASSEMBLY
A carbon filter is disclosed. Such a carbon filter includes a carbon-based core having a central cavity, a layer of a polymer-based filter material surrounding the carbon-based core, and at least one end cap fixedly attached to the carbon-based core.
NON-METALLIC UNBONDED FLEXIBLE RISERS FOR DEEP SEA MINING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a nonmetallic unbonded flexible riser for deep-sea mining and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the riser includes a lining layer, an internal pressure resistant reinforcing layer, a first anti-wear layer, a first compensation reinforcing layer, a second anti-wear layer, a second compensation reinforcing layer, a third anti-wear layer, a framework layer, a isolation layer, a first tensile reinforcing layer, a fourth anti-wear layer, a second tensile reinforcing layer and an outer coating layer which are sequentially arranged from inside to outside, wherein unbonded connection between adjacent layers is adopted. The present invention may ensure the continuous transportation of the mineral and the seawater inside the flexible mixed transportation pipe, adapt to the severe marine environment and loading condition, and ensure the safety of mining work.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH PRESSURE TANK
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a high pressure tank having a reinforcing layer on an outer surface of a hollow liner, the method including: a winding process of winding a fiber bundle containing a curable resin and having a predetermined tension on the outer surface of the liner; and a reinforcing layer forming process of forming the reinforcing layer by curing the curable resin contained in the fiber bundle wound around the outer surface, in which the winding process is performed so that the tension of the fiber bundle is reduced toward an outer circumferential side of the reinforcing layer.
ELASTIC PULL ROPE FOR USE IN EXERCISE
The present invention relates to an elastic pull rope used in exercise, comprising an inner tube layer with a hollow channel, a woven wire layer surrounding the outer part of the inner tube layer and an outer tube layer surrounding the outer part of the woven wire layer, wherein the woven wire layer surrounds the outer surface of the inner tube layer via a plurality of first wire rods, and weaving a plurality of second wire rods around the first wire rods in an overlapping manner in order to form and clamp the woven wire layer between the inner and outer tube layers, so that the formed elastic pull rope would have improved overall structural strength.
Pull-through winding system and method
Systems and methods are directed to a pull-through winding method, and a manufacturing fixture, or mandrel, that guides the layup of material in the pull-through winding method, for fabrication of a three-dimensional load bearing structure. These systems and methods allow fibers of material of the 3D load bearing structure to be pulled as straight as possible during winding, and maintained as straight as possible during curing, to take full advantage of properties associated with the fiber or filament-based materials used in these structures, including, for example, carbon fiber material. The manufacturing fixture includes a plurality of pull-through slots at end portions thereof, that provide for the pulling of the fiber-based material, and the application and maintenance of tension in the material that maintains the alignment of the fibers as the material is wound, cured and hardened.
