A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have embossed medium that features an improved structural profile. The improved structural profile may include a triangular flute pattern wherein each flute may exhibit a first linear leg support and a second linear leg support that each support a center apex structure. The apex may have a substantially flat portion that is configured to engage a facing. As such, the board product may further include one or more facings that are adhesively coupled to the embossed medium. Further, the apex of each triangle may also have a groove or channel for receiving an adhesive in a continuous and uniform manner.
Systems and methods for forming corrugated boards with ultrasound
Systems and methods for forming corrugated boards are disclosed. The system includes a single face unit configured to form a single face board having a fluted layer and an outer liner. The system also includes a single face buffer configured to store or hold a length of the single face board. The system has a glue station configured to attach a second outer liner to the single face board to form a single wall board. The system also has an ultrasonic unit configured to apply ultrasonic vibrations to the single wall board. The ultrasonic vibrations are configured to remove moisture from the single wall board, activate, heat, and/or dry an adhesive used to attach the fluted layer and the outer liners, and/or cause the fibers of the fluted layer and the outer liners to weave, intertwine, or otherwise stick together.
SINGLE FACER FOR PRODUCING SINGLE FACE CORRUGATED PAPERBOARD, AND RELATED METHOD
A single facer including a first corrugating roller with a first rotation axis and a second corrugating roller with a second rotation axis. The two corrugating rollers form a corrugating nip, through which a paper sheet passes. The single facer also includes a pressing member, co-acting with the second corrugating roller and forming a pressure nip therewith, as well as a glue applicator co-acting with the second corrugating roller. With the second corrugating roller a suction box is associated, extending approximately parallel to the second rotation axis of the second corrugating roller and defining a suction area around the second corrugating roller. A series of laminar members, each of which is inserted in a respective one of the annular grooves of the second corrugating roller, are arranged between the pressing member and the first corrugating roller and extend in the respective annular grooves towards the suction box.
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD PLANT
A corrugated cardboard plant, including at least one corrugated cardboard production device for producing at least one corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side, having a respective corrugated web and a cover web; a connection device, disposed downstream of the at least one corrugated cardboard production device, for connecting the at least one corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side and a lamination web to one another, while forming an at least three-ply corrugated cardboard web; at least one cutting device for generating corrugated cardboard sheets from the at least three-ply corrugated cardboard web; and at least one individual code reading device for reading corrugated cardboard sheet individual codes on at least one of the webs of the at least three-ply corrugated cardboard web and/or on at least one of the webs for forming the at least three-ply corrugated cardboard web and/or on the corrugated cardboard sheets.
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD PLANT
A corrugated cardboard plant comprises at least one device for producing a respective corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side; a lamination web dispensing device; a lamination web printing device disposed downstream of the lamination web dispensing device; and a device, disposed downstream of the lamination web printing assembly, for producing a corrugated cardboard web laminated on two sides from the at least one corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side and from a lamination web. The at least one device for producing a respective corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side is configured and/or disposed in such a manner that the at least one corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side, at least in a manner adjacent upstream of the device for producing a corrugated cardboard web laminated on both sides, has a respective upwardly directed corrugation. The lamination web in the device for producing a corrugated cardboard web laminated on two sides is guided in such a manner that said lamination web therein runs above the at least one corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side.
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD PLANT
The invention relates to a corrugated cardboard plant for producing corrugated cardboard. The corrugated cardboard plant comprises at least one device for producing a respective corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side from a respective cover web and a respective material web; a lamination web dispensing device for dispensing a lamination web; a lamination web printing assembly, disposed downstream of the lamination web dispensing device, for imprinting the lamination web; and a device, disposed downstream of the lamination web printing assembly, for producing a corrugated cardboard web laminated on two sides from the at least one corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side and the lamination web.
SHEET HEATING APPARATUS, SINGLE FACER, AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING CORRUGATED CARDBOARD SHEET
A sheet heating apparatus include a first heating plate, a second heating plate, a joining member, a heating section, and a guide member. The first heating plate has a first heating surface curved in a convex shape. The second heating plate has a second heating surface curved in a convex shape. The joining member integrally joins the first heating plate and the second heating plate together such that the first heating surface and the second heating surface face outward. The heating section heats the first heating plate and the second heating plate. The guide member guides a sheet such that the sheet comes into contact with the first heating surface and the second heating surface.
Semi-corrugated paperboard panels and method for production of same
A means of making a multi ply structural panel by eliminating the top liner in the corrugating process. The present invention is made possible through modification to the corrugating rolls of the singlefacer. The design modification to the rolls involves incorporation of slots that run around the circumference of one roll and mating creasing tools incorporated around the circumference of the other of the corrugated roll set. These slots and creasing tools are incorporated across the existing flutes of the corrugating rolls.
