CORRUGATED BOARDS WITH SKEWED FLUTES
A three dimensional structure made of corrugated board that has at least two flat rectangular surfaces that: are not coplanar; are not parallel; share a common straight edge; and each have multiple, parallel, straight flutes inside of the flat rectangular surface that intersect the common straight edge at an angle that is between 30 and 60 degrees. A corrugator machine that has a configuration that produces corrugated board stock having two parallel, spaced apart outside edges and multiple, parallel, straight flutes inside of the corrugated board stock that intersect each of the outside edges at an angle that is between 30 and 60 degrees.
HOLLOW-STRUCTURE PLATE
A main object of the present technique is to provide a hollow-structure plate that is easy to process while retaining compressive strength. According to the present technique, there is provided a hollow-structure plate in which a surface material and/or a skin material are laminated to at least one surface of a hollow convex portion-formed sheet made from one or two thermoplastic resin sheets with a plurality of hollow convex portions on at least one surface, and at least part of a side wall of the convex portion has a bending radius R of 0.75 to 20 mm.
Single facer
Disclosed is a single facer which comprises: a cartridge pivotally supporting a pair of corrugating rolls by a side plate; two cartridges pivotally supporting a pair of corrugating rolls by a side plate, respectively; a single facer body housing the two cartridges in a movable manner so as to exchange respective setup positions of the two cartridges between the in-use position and the rest position; and a hydraulic jack disposed just below the stacked cartridges in a vertical direction and configured to push the stacked cartridges upwardly, wherein, by pushing the stacked cartridges upwardly by the hydraulic jack, the single facer is operable to press an upper end of the side plate of the upper cartridge against a lower end of a ceiling member of the single facer body, so as to clamp the stacked cartridges by the hydraulic jack and the ceiling member of the single facer body.
FILMS AND BAGS WITH VISUALLY DISTINCT REGIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
One or more implementations of a multi-layer film include a first layer non-continuously bonded to a second pigmented layer. The multi-layer film includes an unexpected appearance differing from the appearance of the pigmented layer. In one or more embodiments, the multi-layer film includes a metallic appearance despite the pigmented layer being devoid of metallic pigment. The multi-layer film also includes areas that are visually distinct from areas of the film with the unexpected appearance. The visually-distinct areas comprise areas in which the first layer non-continuously is in intimate contact with the second pigmented layer. The visually-distinct areas have the appearance of the pigmented layer or another appearance. One or more implementations also include methods of making multi-layer films and bags with an unexpected appearance and visually-distinct areas.
Method of forming single face corrugated board
A method of bonding a substantially planar sheet material to a corrugated sheet material using an automated process the method characterized by the steps of a) applying adhesive in discrete amounts to the contact points of the corrugated sheet material, and b) holding the sheet materials together until a bond is formed between them.
