A method for production of a female embossing tool intended for embossing a sheet element: provide a female embossing tool with an outer layer made of a material with shape-memory type properties, and the outer face of the layer has no recesses; provide a male embossing tool with an outer face with at least one protuberance corresponding to at least one desired embossing relief that is to be formed on the sheet element after embossing; and cooperation of the male embossing tool with the female embossing tool such that the outer layer of the female embossing tool undergoes a plastic deformation which creates at least one recess of a shape complementary to the protuberance(s) of the male embossing tool.

EMBOSSED MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCTS

The present invention provides an embossed multi-ply tissue product that is visually pleasing and has improved physical attributes. For example, the inventive multi-ply tissue products have reduced stiffness, such as a GM Flexural Rigidity less than about 600 mg*cm, improved absorbency, such as a Residual Water (WResidual) value less than about 0.15 g, and improved wet resiliency, such as a wet elastic strain ratio greater than about 32 percent.

Hygienic thin-leaf paper

A hygienic thin-leaf paper includes a first sheet (10) including first embossed regions (30) in each of which first embossed protrusions (31) and first non-embossed protrusions (32) are included, the first sheet including first non-embossed regions (50) in each of which a first embossed protrusion (31) and a first non-embossed protrusion (32) are not included; and a second sheet (20) including second embossed regions (40) in each of which second embossed protrusions (41) and second non-embossed protrusions (42) are included, the second sheet including second non-embossed regions (60) in each of which a second embossed protrusion (41) and a second non-embossed protrusion (42) are not included. The first sheet (10) and the second sheet (20) are integrally laminated, the first embossed protrusions (31) include multiple first dotted embossed protrusions (31A) and multiple first linear embossed protrusions (31B), and the second embossed protrusions (41) include multiple second dotted embossed protrusions (41A) and multiple second linear embossed protrusions (41B). Each first non-embossed region (50) faces a given second linear embossed protrusion (41B), and each second non-embossed region (60) faces a given first linear embossed protrusion (31B).

Multi-ply tissue paper product and method of manufacturing

A multi-ply tissue paper product includes at least four plies made of tissue paper base-sheet or non-woven. Two inner plies are positioned between a first outer ply on one side and a second outer ply on another side. The two inner plies are flat plies. The first and second outer plies include a micro-embossing pattern. Only one of the outer plies further includes a décor embossing pattern. The multi-ply tissue paper product is configured to provide improved thickness and strength parameters with less use of paper fiber material.

Toilet paper

Toilet paper includes at least two sheets on which embossments are formed and that are joined together in a nested manner. The area of a top part of an embossed protrusion of each of the embossments is between 0.8 mm.sup.2 and 1.5 mm.sup.2, and the area percentage of top parts of embossed protrusions of the embossments is between 5% and 10%.

Process for making multi-ply fibrous structure containing articles

Articles, for example multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles such as multi-ply sanitary tissue products, containing two or more fibrous structure plies, and more particularly to multi-ply articles containing two or more fibrous structure plies having a plurality of fibrous elements wherein the articles exhibit improved bulk and absorbent properties compared to known articles and methods for making same, are provided.

ENGRAVED MODULATED PIECE

An engraved solid piece carries data comprising specific information on a surface of the engraved solid piece. The surface is covered by a plurality of block structures, comprising at least a first block structure. Each block structure is a spatially restricted collection of modulated features and base features, which are spread over the surface of the engraved solid piece. Each modulated feature and each base feature has respectively a three-dimensional modulated-feature profile and a three-dimensional base-feature profile. Each of the modulated-feature profiles is the result of applying a corresponding modulation to one of the three-dimensional base-feature profiles, according to a specific, corresponding information. Each modulated feature further is a symbol, which is a transcription of a character of an alphabet. The alphabet is a collection of characters, which are distinct objects of well-defined elementary data. Each of the base features is an engraved elementary three-dimensional topographical element of the surface. Each of the modulated features is an engraved three-dimensional topographical element of the surface. At least a part of the data is transcribed by a code-block structure of modulated features, the code-block structure thereby constituting at least a part of a block structure corresponding to the at least one part of the data. The modulated features of the first block structure are arranged according to a first ordered map, the first ordered map comprising at least a first finite ordered set of first positions of the modulated features of a first code-block structure on the surface, the first block structure corresponding to a first part of the data, and the first ordered map further is configured to arrange the modulated features of the first block structure to constitute an aesthetic ensemble on the surface and render the respective symbols corresponding to the modulated features of the first code-block structure imperceptible to the human eye, but retrievable by means of a software-driven image-sensor/processor combination.

For example, the inventive multi-ply tissue products have reduced stiffness, such as a GM Flexural Rigidity less than about 600 mg*cm, improved absorbency, such as a Residual Water (W.sub.Residual) value less than about 0.15 g, and improved wet resiliency, such as a wet elastic strain ratio greater than about 32 percent.

Multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles

Articles, for example multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles such as multi-ply sanitary tissue products, containing two or more fibrous structure plies, wherein at least one of the fibrous structure plies is embossed and is bonded to at least one other fibrous structure ply by a water-resistant bond such that void volume is created between the bonded fibrous structure plies.
