DARKENING SCREEN
The darkening screen comprises two fabrics, namely a first fabric (10) which comprises in machining direction first strips of film material and first threads (2) in between the first strips, and a second fabric (11) which comprises in machining direction second strips of film material and second threads (6) in between the second strips. The first (2) and the second threads (6) of the first (10) and the second fabric (11) have water transporting capacity. In order to obtain improved moisture transporting properties whilst maintaining a low hemispherical light transmission the first threads (2) are aligned with said second threads (6) and are situated, in a direction perpendicular to said first (10) and second fabric (11), opposite to said second threads (6) to form pairs of first and second threads. In a number of these pairs the first thread (2) is connected at different locations by cross-connections (16) to the second thread (6), more particularly by means of a first yarn (4) of the first fabric which extends in the cross-machining direction, to thereby fix the first fabric (10) to the second fabric (11). The cross-connections (16) preferably hold the first threads (2) at least at the location of the cross-connections (16) against the second threads (6).
Anti-icing/de-icing system and method
An anti-icing/de-icing system for an airfoil structure having multiple layers is provided and includes a thermal article, wherein the thermal article is embedded within the airfoil structure to be located between the multiple layers. The thermal article includes a first terminal end, a second terminal end and a thermal expanded mesh material which connects the first terminal end with the second terminal end, and wherein the thermal expanded mesh material is configured to have at least one predetermined resistance between the first terminal end and the second terminal end.
Artificial bionic blood vessel and preparation method
The present invention provides an artificial bionic blood vessel and a manufacturing method thereof. The artificial bionic blood vessel includes a three-layer-structured artificial bionic blood vessel body, where the three-layer structure of the artificial bionic blood vessel consists of a natural silk layer, a diluted liquid silica-gel layer and a weaved tube layer, the diluted liquid silica-gel layer is located on the inner side of the natural silk layer, the weaved tube layer is located on the outer side of the natural silk layer, and the weaved tube layer is made of catgut by weaving.
ANIMAL TOY OR BLANKET
An article comprises core of filler material, and a quilted textile enclosing the core wherein the textile comprises a first fabric having a cover factor between 70% and 95% and a tensile strength of at least 600 N/5 cm, the first fabric being a woven or knit fabric that is in contact with the core material, a second fabric bonded to the first fabric by an adhesive, the second fabric being a plush fabric, located on the side of the first fabric remote from the core, a first quilting yarn on the outer surface of the textile having a tenacity of at least 45 cN/tex and an elongation at break no greater than 10%, a second quilting yarn on the inner surface of the textile having a tenacity of at least 15 cN/tex and an elongation at break greater than 10%.
Antiviral Face Mask
Disclosed herein are washable, reusable, antimicrobial and antiviral face masks and methods of their use for the reduction of transmission of infectious pathogens. Exemplary face masks are made of silver-coated material wherein activation of the silver from moisture in a user's breath kills pathogens. The disclosed face masks are useful in reducing, inhibiting or killing pathogens, such as SARS-CoV-2, that contact the face mask within 2 hours of continuous contact.
MOISTURE-CURABLE HOT-MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, BONDED OBJECT, AND GARMENT
A moisture-curable hot-melt adhesive composition is disclosed. This moisture-curable hot-melt adhesive composition contains: a urethane prepolymer including a polymer chain, which includes a structural unit derived from a polyol and a structural unit derived from a polyisocyanate, and having two or more isocyanate groups; and a modified urethane prepolymer including a polymer chain, which includes a structural unit derived from a polyol and a structural unit derived from a polyisocyanate, and having one or more isocyanate groups modified with a castor oil monool.
COATED BARRIER FABRIC FOR A REUSABLE MEDICAL PRODUCT
A coated barrier fabric for use in a reusable medical product (e.g., surgical gown, surgical drape, etc.) is provided and has two woven or knitted plies. Each of the two plies are coated on one side with a non-fluorine containing polymer and retain similar comfort and feel of uncoated woven or knitted fabrics. The coated sides of the plies face each other (i.e., inwardly) in the interior of the barrier fabric. Because of the orientation of the plies, the coated sides of the plies can come into direct contact with and move freely against each other within the interior of the barrier fabric. The coating on each of the plies is protected from exterior and environmental factors, including repeated institutional laundering/autoclave cycles, that could abrade and degrade the coating. Thus, the useful life of the reusable medical product including the barrier fabric is extended.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURED LAMINATE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
Systems and methods for producing a composite structural laminate comprising fabric, polymer, and fiber layers. During production, the laminate base is heated and compressed several times to improve adhesion of the layers which results in improved laminate strength.
MOUNTABLE FABRIC ASHTRAY
A mountable ashtray having a first and a second wall defining an interior cavity therebetween, the first and second walls defining interior surfaces which are fire resistant, and exterior surfaces, wherein at least one of the walls includes a releasable connector.
RESIN COMPOSITION, CURED MOLDED ARTICLE, FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC MOLDING MATERIAL, FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC, FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC LAMINATED MOLDED BODY, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING SAME
This resin composition contains a first resin and a second resin, and exhibits curability by thermal crosslinking, wherein the first resin is at least one selected from among a bifunctional epoxy resin having a weight average molecular weight of 4,000 or more, and a phenoxy resin, and the second resin is a polycarbonate resin. The content ratio, by weight, of the first resin to the second resin (the first resin:the second resin) is preferably in the range of 9:1 to 2:8. Both the first resin and the second resin preferably have a bisphenol skeleton in a molecule.
