There is provided an interlayer film for laminated glass with which the flexural rigidity of laminated glass can be enhanced and the sound insulating properties of laminated glass can be enhanced. The interlayer film for laminated glass according to the present invention includes first, second, and third layers containing a polyvinyl acetal resin and a plasticizer, the content of the hydroxyl group of the polyvinyl acetal resin in the first layer is lower than the content of the hydroxyl group of the polyvinyl acetal resin in each of the second and third layers, when absolute values of a difference between the content of the hydroxyl group of the polyvinyl acetal resin in the second and third layers and the content of the hydroxyl group of the polyvinyl acetal resin in the first layer are defined as XA and XB, respectively, each of the absolute values XA and XB is 9% by mole or more and 11% by mole or less, and when a content of the plasticizer in the interlayer film relative to 100 parts by weight of the polyvinyl acetal resin in the interlayer film is defined as Y, XA, XB, and Y satisfy the equations of Y1.68XA+56 and Y1.68XB+56.

The present invention provides a glass plate module to be attached to a vehicle. The glass plate module includes laminated glass in which an outer glass plate, an interlayer, and an inner glass plate are layered in this order; a mask layer that is provided on the laminated glass and blocks a field of vision from outside; and an attachment member that is attached to a portion corresponding to the mask layer on the inner glass plate with at least a first adhesion means and a second adhesion means and configured to support an information acquisition device for acquiring information from outside of a vehicle. The first adhesion means includes adhesive at at least one location. The second adhesion means is configured such that the adhesive conducts preliminary fixing prior to curing. The attachment member includes a fixation portion that faces the mask layer and has a bonding surface provided with the adhesion means. The fixation portion includes at least one adhesive confirmation portion through which the adhesive applied to the bonding surface can be seen from the vehicle interior side.

The glass structure can further comprise the at least one thin glass sheet and a second glass sheet having a polymer interlayer therebetween. The backing frame generally has a geometric cross-section with a rounded interior edge adjacent the glass structure to prevent breakage of the structure upon loading or impact of an exterior surface of the structure.

The present invention provides high security polycarbonate laminates integrated with insulated glazing units (IGU) to produce high security windows. The laminate comprises at least nine layers, in the following order: (i) an insulated glazing unit; (ii) a thermoplastic polyurethane; (iii) a polycarbonate; (iv) a thermoplastic polyurethane; (v) a polycarbonate; (vi) a thermoplastic polyurethane; (vii) a glass; (viii) a thermoplastic polyurethane; and (ix) a polycarbonate. A frame may surround and overbite the laminate. An array of framed laminates may be arranged such that one framed laminate may be removed, without removing an adjacent laminate.

Lithium Containing Glass with High Oxidized Iron Content and Method of Making Same

A low infrared absorbing lithium glass includes FeO in the range of 0.0005-0.015 wt %, more preferably 0.001-0.010 wt %, and a redox ratio in the range of 0.005-0.15, more preferably in the range of 0.005-010. The glass can be chemically tempered and used to provide a ballistic viewing cover for night vision goggles or scope. A method is provided to change a glass making process from making a high infrared absorbing lithium glass having FeO in the range of 0.02 to 0.04 wt % and a redox ratio in the range of 0.2 to 0.4 to the low infrared absorbing lithium glass by adding additional oxidizers to the batch materials. A second method is provided to change a glass making process from making a low infrared absorbing lithium glass to the high infrared absorbing lithium glass by adding additional reducers to the batch material. In one embodiment of the invention the oxidizer is CeO.sub.2. An embodiment of the invention covers a glass made according to the method.
