Device and method for picking up, shaping, and placing a thin glass pane
A device for picking up, shaping, and placing a thin glass pane, includes a frame with an upper side and a lower side, which is suitable to be directed at a glass pane with a thickness of less than 1 mm, and which is provided with a plurality of picking up pins that are arranged substantially parallel to one another and whose end directed at the glass pane is equipped with a suction cup, wherein the picking up pins are movable along their direction of extension independent of one another in order to adapt the arrangement of the suction cups to an intended shape of the glass pane.
Automotive laminate with superior camera window
The use of camera based safety systems is growing at a rapid rate in modern automobiles. As the industry moves for full autonomous capability, the number of cameras required is increasing. At the same time, windshields, where many of the cameras are mounted are becoming larger and more complex in shape. This presents problems in the area of camera optics. For one, the camera is looking out through at least two layers of bent glass bonded together by a third layer of plastic. Mismatches in the refractive index can result in a double image. The curvature of the glass turns the window into a lens and, in conjunction with the often low installation angle, can reduce the optical clarity of the camera field of view. The laminate of the invention has a cutout in the area of the camera(s) on the interior glass layer where the cameras are mounted.
Interlayer film for laminated glass, and laminated glass
Provided is an interlayer film for laminated glass capable of suppressing double images, and making the moisture resistance of the laminated glass exposed to high temperature and high humidity uniform at one end and the other end of the interlayer film. The interlayer film for laminated glass according to the present invention is an interlayer film for laminated glass, being wedge-like shaped and containing an amphiphile or a surfactant, and when a high temperature and high humidity test for laminated glass is executed, a whitening distance at the one end and the other end of the interlayer film is 15 mm or less, and when a whitening distance at the one end of the interlayer film is more than 0 mm, a value of (whitening distance at the other end of the interlayer film×thickness of the other end of the interlayer film)/(whitening distance at the one end of the interlayer film×thickness of the one end of the interlayer film) is 0.70 or more.
Electrochromic films with edge protection
The present application discloses a method for preparing an electrochromic device. The method includes placing an edge protection material on a first and second substrates, placing a first and second interlayers respectively within the edge protection material on the first and second substrates, wherein the edge protection material surrounds edges of the first and second interlayers, and interposing an electrochromic film between the first and second interlayers. The edge protection material prevents chemicals in the first and second interlayers from entering into the electrochromic film.
Film for laminated glass, method of manufacturing embossing patterns of film for laminated glass, method of manufacturing embossing pattern transfer device, and embossing pattern transfer device
A film for laminated glass, the film including a surface embossing pattern formed on at least a portion of one side of the film, wherein the surface embossing pattern comprises convexities, and concavities separating the convexities from one another, each of the convexities is surrounded by some of the concavities, and an average area of the convexities is 0.01 mm.sup.2 to 4.00 mm.sup.2.
AUTOMOBILE WINDOW GLASS
The present invention provides an automobile window glass on which a device that acquires electromagnetic waves is disposable. The automobile window glass includes an outer glass plate, an inner glass plate, an intermediate film disposed between the outer glass plate and the inner glass plate, and a blocking layer that is disposed on at least one of a surface on the vehicle interior side of the outer glass plate and a surface on the vehicle interior side of the inner glass plate. The intermediate film includes a functional layer having a transmission region that allows transmission so as not to affect reception of the electromagnetic waves, and an adhesion layer that is disposed on at least one surface of the functional layer and does not affect reception of the electromagnetic waves. The blocking layer has at least one opening at a position corresponding to the transmission region.
