Embodiments of a vehicle interior system are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the system includes a base with a curved surface, a cold-formed glass substrate with a thickness of 1.5 mm or less and a first radius of curvature of 500 mm or greater, and an adhesive between the curved surface and the glass substrate. Methods for forming such systems are also disclosed. The systems and methods include components and/or design modifications or methods for reducing stress in the adhesive.
METHOD FOR OBTAINING A LAMINATED CURVED GLAZING
A method for obtaining a laminated curved glazing, particularly for a motor vehicle windscreen or roof. The method includes the deposition (b) of an enamel layer on a stack of thin layers deposited on a first glass sheet as well as the deposition (c), at least on the enamel layer, of refractory particles based on oxides, of metals or carbides, at least one dimension of which is larger than 30 μm. The stack of thin layers is completely dissolved by the enamel layer at the end of a bending procedure (d) carried out before laminating (e) the first glass sheet with an additional glass sheet by a lamination interlayer.

Side laminated automotive glazing
An electrically heatable laminated automotive glazing unit including an exterior glass sheet that is curved and tempered and a thin glass interior sheet that is also tempered, these sheets being joined by means of a thermoplastic interlayer sheet. The glazing unit is configured to receive mechanical moving and/or fastening means and a portion of the exterior sheet is not covered by the thin interior sheet. The glazing unit is fastened in the zone not covered by the thin sheet, and the glazing unit includes at least one electrically heatable zone comprising (i) a substantially transparent, electrically conductive coating layer and (ii) spaced busbars adapted to supply electrical voltage across the substantially transparent, electrically conductive coating layer. The spaced busbars are placed in the portion of the exterior sheet which is not covered by the thin interior sheet.
SHAPED GLASS LAMINATES AND METHODS FOR FORMING THE SAME
Embodiments of a laminate including a first curved glass substrate comprising a first viscosity (poises) at a temperature of 630° C.; a second curved glass substrate comprising a second viscosity that is greater than the first viscosity at a temperature of 630° C.; and an interlayer disposed between the first curved glass substrate and the second curved glass substrate, are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the first curved glass substrate exhibits a first sag depth that is within 10% of a second sag depth of the second curved glass substrate. In one or more embodiments, the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate exhibit a shape deviation therebetween of about ±5 mm or less as measured by an optical three-dimensional scanner or exhibit minimal optical distortion. Embodiments of vehicles including such laminates and methods for making such laminates are also disclosed.
Laminated glazing and process
A laminated glazing has a first glass ply having first and second surfaces, a second glass ply having third and fourth surfaces, an obscuration band around at least a portion of the glazing periphery, the obscuration band having a sensor window and comprising first and second obscuration layers, the first obscuration layer adhered to at least a portion of the periphery of the first/second surface and comprising a first sensor window portion having a first sensor window portion optical distortion, the second obscuration layer adhered to at least a portion of the periphery of the third/fourth surface and comprising a second sensor window portion having a second sensor window portion optical distortion. first and second sensor window portion optical distortions are each controlled so the absolute magnitude of the optical distortion of the sensor window is lower than the absolute magnitude of the first and second sensor window optical distortions.
Bonding film, and light-transmitting laminate including same
Embodiment relates to film for bonding, and a light-transmitting laminate including the same and the like, a film for bonding comprising an embossed surface, wherein the embossed surface has an A2/A1 value of 1 or less are disclosed. A film for bonding have improved in deairing stability during formation of a light transmitting laminate, an edge sealing characteristic, and the like by controlling characteristics of a embossed surface.
METHOD FOR OBTAINING A CURVED LAMINATED GLAZING UNIT
A method for obtaining a curved laminated glazing unit, includes applying an enamel coating to a part of a first face of a first glass sheet so as to create at least one enameled zone and at least one unenameled zone, applying a sacrificial layer to a part, called the sacrificial zone, of a first face of a second glass sheet, simultaneously bending the first and second glass sheets, the sacrificial zone being disposed at least in line with at least one part of an enameled zone, removing the sacrificial layer, either during the bending or after the bending step, and laminating the first and second glass sheets by a thermoplastic interlayer.
Method of forming a glass article and the glass article formed thereby
A method of forming a glass article includes providing a first glass sheet. The first glass sheet is heated to a temperature suitable for shaping. The first glass sheet is deposited on a first bending tool. An edge portion of the first glass sheet is disposed over a shaping surface of the first bending tool. The shaping surface of the first bending tool is configured to provide in the first glass sheet a compression area and a tension area. The first glass sheet is shaped on the first bending tool and the compression area is formed in the edge portion of the first glass sheet. The compression area includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a width which is greater than a width of a second portion.
