Wafer-like sensor
A wafer-like semiconductor sensor includes a wafer-like base formed of a plurality of layers of chemically-hardened glass and an electronics module mounted to a recessed pocket in the base and containing a sensor.
Photoinitiated optical adhesive and method for using same
Methods of manufacturing a protective front cover subassembly for an electronic display assembly and related products are disclosed. A first component of the protective front cover subassembly is secured to a frame. A first and second part of a mixture which produces an index-matching optical adhesive when combined are applied to the first component. A second component of the protective front cover subassembly is placed at said frame spaced apart from said first component such that the mixture is interposed between the first and second components. The mixture is exposed to a light source while interposed between the first and second components.
MULTIPLE AND SINGLE LAYERS LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPERSION DEVICES FOR COMMON AND DIRECT GLAZING APPLICATIONS AND METHODS THEREOF
Means and methods for manufacturing a multilayer of liquid crystal dispersion film using releasable supporting films and means and methods for manufacturing a haze-free and low-cost multi liquid crystal-layer PDLC, LCDP, PSLC or polymer network using reliable supporting films.
Structural glass element
In the case of a structural glass element with a plastic-coated glass panel and at least one assembly element attached hereon, the glass panel is coated in particular with a silicone-based elastomer across its entire surface, and the coating at the same time creates an adhesive joint with one section of the assembly element supported on the glass panel.
VEHICLE LAMINATED PANE
A vehicle laminated pane, designed as a combined front and roof pane, has a lower and upper edges and two lateral pane edges includes an outer pane with an outer-side surface and an interior-side surface, an inner pane with an outer-side surface and an interior-side surface, and a thermoplastic intermediate layer which connects the outer pane to the inner pane. The vehicle laminated pane has a first region starting from the lower edge, a third region starting from the upper edge, and a second region which connects the first region and the third region, the interior-side surface of the outer pane has an opaque cover print at least in a peripheral edge region of the vehicle laminated pane, and a sun protection coating is applied to the interior-side surface of the outer pane.
COLORED AUTOMOTIVE WINDOWS
A vehicle including at least one colored automotive glass window operatively attached to the vehicle. A method of providing colored automotive glass windows in a vehicle, by making a colored automotive glass window by a method of 1) adding a metal compound or other chemical to molten glass during the manufacturing process forming colored glass, 2) by bonding multiple layers of glass together while under pressure and heat, with a colored interlayer to make colored laminated glass, and 3) by layering a colored plastic, chemical, or compound on top of a clear glass window, and installing the colored automotive glass window in a vehicle. A method of providing health benefits to an individual by the individual being inside or outside a vehicle with at least one colored automotive glass window operatively attached thereto, and the at least one colored automotive glass window providing health benefits to the individual.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER STRUCTURE AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A composition and a method for manufacturing the composition are provided that includes a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and a second component in an amount in the range of about 3% to about 60% by weight of the composition. The second component includes at least one reactive diluent, monomer, or oligomer (RDMO). The RDMO and/or the TPU may be cross-linked to form a semi-interpenetrating polymer network or an interpenetrating polymer network. The RDMO provides improved physical properties, such as rigidity, durability and strength, to the TPU. The polymer network may be bonded to other layers for certain applications, such as windows and flooring, to improve flexibility and strength, inhibit shattering and/or resist scratching and staining.
WAFER-LIKE SENSOR
A wafer-like semiconductor sensor includes a wafer-like base formed of a plurality of layers of chemically-hardened glass and an electronics module mounted to a recessed pocket in the base and containing a sensor.
System for preventing overheating arcing in heated laminated glass
A system includes a laminated glass comprising a protective layer disposed between two sheets of glass. The system includes a resistive conductive coating made of a first electrically conducting material disposed on a surface of one of the two sheets of glass facing the protective layer. The system includes a first set of electrodes made of a second electrically conducting material disposed on the resistive conductive coating. The system includes a second set of electrodes made of a third electrically conducting material disposed on the first set of electrodes. The second set of electrodes is electrically connected to the first set of electrodes, respectively. The third electrically conducting material of the second set of electrodes is more ductile than the second electrically conducting material of the first set of electrodes.
Structural glass element and method for its production
In the case of a structural glass element with a plastic-coated glass panel and at least one assembly element attached hereon, the glass panel is coated in particular with a silicone-based elastomer across its entire surface, and the coating at the same time creates an adhesive joint with one section of the assembly element supported on the glass panel.
