METHOD FOR REPAIRING SUBSTRATES WITH AN ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE COATING AND LASER CUTTING PATTERN
A method for processing a substrate is presented. The substrate includes an electrically conductive coating, and at least one isolating line that runs between first and second subregions of the electrically conductive coating. According to one aspect, the isolating line includes at least one defect with a proportion of less than 10% of the total surface area of the isolating line. First and second electric contacts are respectively connected to the first and second subregion. A voltage U.sub.n is applied between the first and second electric contacts, and a measurement is taken to detect whether an electric current is flowing between the first and the second subregions. If a current is flowing, application of the voltage and measurement of the current are repeated with a voltage greater than or equal to U.sub.n, until a current can no longer be measured.
Windshield and Laminated Glass Repair Tool
A glass repair tool for injecting resin into defects in glass is provided, having a mount which is removably engageable to the glass and which is in a sliding ratcheted engagement with a resin injector. This ratcheted engagement allows translation of the injector quickly to a contact with the glass to position it for resin injection into the defect. Stretching suction cups and a compressible seal prevent excess force from being imparted to the glass during the contact of the injector with the glass.
GLASS REPAIR KIT AND METHOD
A portable glass repair kit system and method, more particularly, for windshield repair for laminated glass and the like to provide an easy to use, highly portable, and economical glass repair kit. The glass repair kit does not require specialized equipment such as an injector, plugger device, suction cups, or require any additional tools or specialized knowledge of how to use the repair kit. The glass repair kit contains a resin which may be urged by a user through slight pressure after the glass repair kit is adhered over an impact point and any cracks thereby repairing a windshield in a more cost effective, time efficient, and user friendly way.
Glazing Panel Conditioning
A conditioning agent (typically for use in repairing a flaw in a glazing panel) is contained in a sealed container which is itself disposed internally of a flexible outer walled container. Pressure applied to the outer flexible walled container can cause release of the conditioning agent from the internal conditioning agent container. The conditioning agent preparation may comprise a hygroscopic solvent (such as acetone) combined with one or more primer additives to prime the surface of the glazing panel for repair.
METHODS, SYSTEM AND APPARATUSES FOR IN SITU REMOVAL OF WINDOW DISTORTION
Methods systems and apparatuses for reducing or substantially eliminating distortion in a transparent substrate in situ are disclosed.

Appliance for repairs of local damage of laminated glasses, particularly glasses of cars and other transportation means
The invention relates to an appliance for repairs of local damage of laminated glasses consisting of a body with a base fitted with circumferential elastomer gasket for underpressure suction to the glass. The substance of the invention is that a closing member of an overflow valve for underpressure supply to a repair compartment is arranged so that when closing, it moves in the underpressure suction direction and pushed to a seat by generated pressure. The repair compartment is connected directly with the underpressure source via the overflow valve. A fixing compartment is connected, with the underpressure source independently. To interconnect underpressure/pressure, a lid with boreholes is used as well as a flat gasket with holes and a shape groove.
Method and means for protecting a windshield from further damage before repair is possible
The invention could be a windshield repair kit comprising a laminate having a protective barrier film, an adhesive layer, and a peel-able cover, the protective barrier film having at least one side to which the adhesive layer is applied, the adhesive layer being capable of cured in a presence of a UV light; the peel-able cover removably covering one or more exposed portions of the adhesive layer; a covering that removably receives the laminate, the covering reducing the transmission of UV light to the adhesive layer to a level that prevents the UV activation of the adhesive layer while the laminate is within the covering.
Window, method for manufacturing the same, and display device including the same
A window is provided to include a glass substrate, an adhesive layer on the glass substrate, a polymer layer between the glass substrate and the adhesive layer, the polymer layer having a surface adjacent to the adhesive layer, the surface being hydrophilic at a first temperature and being hydrophobic at a second temperature higher than the first temperature, and a protective layer on the adhesive layer. Thereby, when the protective layer is damaged, only the protective layer may be replaced without replacing a glass substrate.
