After specifying a processing target (target data), a requirement for printing is set. A simulation of a RIP process is performed on the target data under a plurality of printing conditions which are set in advance. Then, based on simulation results, a print-target identifying record is registered in a continuous printing list so as to satisfy the set requirement. After rearranging print-target identifying records registered in the continuous printing list, continuous printing is performed based on the continuous printing list.

Inkjet recording device

An object of the present invention is to provide an inkjet recording device capable of adjusting a clearance between prints formed by two nozzles (114, 115), and capable of printing a print content at a high speed. In order to achieve the object, there is provided an inkjet recording device which has two sub-print heads including nozzles (114, 115), charging electrodes (116, 117), deflection electrodes (118, 119), and gutters (120, 121), in which the two nozzles are disposed in a deflection direction of ink particles, and which performs printing on a printed object (124) while moving the printed object (124) relative to the ink particles in a direction substantially perpendicular to the deflection direction of the ink particles, the inkjet recording device having a function for reducing a clearance between print results (125, 126), printed by the two nozzles (114, 115), by controlling a voltage applied to the charging electrodes (116, 117) and a voltage applied to the deflection electrode (118, 119).

A printing apparatus on a print support includes a print head to print on said print support a print material; a feed device to feed the print material to the print head; and a recirculating unit to generate a recirculation of the print material through the print head and having a first container of the print material placed upstream of the print head, a second container of the print material placed downstream of the print head, a first recirculating sub-unit to generate a first flow of the print material from the first container to the print head and the second container, and a second recirculating sub-unit to transfer the print material from the second container to the first container, wherein the first and second containers are both maintained under two distinct negative pressures.

Printers

A printer (5) operable to print a message in strokes on a substrate (7) passing in a print direction (8) along a moving line (6), wherein the printer is operable (15) to receive an indication of an allowable increase in length in the print direction of a message due to an increase in length in the print direction of gaps between successive strokes printed by the printer, to receive (14) an indication (9) of a speed of movement in the print direction of a moving line, to determine from the indication of the speed of movement of the moving line whether an increase in length in the print direction of a message printed by the printer is greater than the allowable increase in length and, if so, to generate an alert.

Inkjet print media conditioner

An inkjet printing system may include an inkjet printing device, a print media finishing device, and a conditioner selectively coupled within a housing of the print media finishing device and in alignment with a print media exit of the inkjet printing device where the conditioner includes a number of heated pressure rollers to condition the print media prior to introduction into the print media finishing device.

A continuous inkjet printer includes a linear printhead having a cross-track printhead width that is wider than a cross-track image width. The linear printhead is characterized to determine an image quality level as a function of cross-track position. A segment of the linear printhead is designated wherein the image quality level within the designated segment of the linear printhead is acceptable. A translation mechanism is used to translate the linear printhead relative to the receiver medium such that the designated segment of the linear printhead is aligned with a region on the receiver medium where the image content is to be printed, and the image content is printed on the receiver medium using the designated segment of the linear printhead.

Image content is printed on a receiver medium using a continuous inkjet printer with a linear printhead. A plurality of segments of the linear printhead are designated at different cross-track positions. The linear printhead is translated relative to a receiver medium such that an initial segment of the linear printhead is aligned with a printing region on the receiver medium and the image content is printed using the initial segment of the linear printhead. When an image quality level of the printed image content is determined to fall below an acceptable level, the linear printhead is translated relative to the receiver medium such that a next segment of the linear printhead is aligned with the printing region and the image content using the next segment of the linear printhead.
