PRINTER CAP

A printing system may comprise a page wide array printhead a capping station, and a number of modular caps comprising a housing to cover a nozzle array of a printhead and a cap coupler coupled to the housing to couple the cap to the nozzle array in which the modular caps are adapted to be coupled to and removed from the nozzle array of the printhead and stored in the capping station.

LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS AND LIQUID FILLING METHOD AND CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting unit that ejects a liquid supplied to an internal flow path; a pump that feeds the liquid to the liquid ejecting unit; a discharge route that communicates with the internal flow path; and a closing valve disposed in the discharge route. The closing valve has an object that is biased to close the discharge route, and the object open the discharge route, due to an external force, during feeding of the liquid by the pump.

An ejection surface extends in a first direction as a scanning direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and is externally exposed. A plurality of nozzles opens at the ejection surface. A plurality of partial channels is located inside the ejection surface, and at bottom surfaces on a side of the ejection surface, the nozzles open. The plurality of nozzles is arranged in a direction intersecting with the first direction in plural rows to constitute a plurality of nozzle rows. The number of the nozzles arranged in each row is greater than the number of the plural rows. Between the nozzles in each nozzle row, the nozzles in other nozzle rows appear as seen in the first direction. A position of openings in the bottom surfaces of the partial channels differs across at least some of the nozzles in each nozzle row.
