Printing apparatus with modular printhead system
A single pass inkjet printer that utilizes a modular printing system with one or more self-contained printing modules, where each printing module is easy to remove and replace from a large printing machine, thus resulting in an overall system that is easy to service and maintain. Each module is a self-contained printer including an ink supply, printhead drive electronics, and printhead assembly in order to provide one color or fluid of inkjet printing capability. Each module includes a precise three-point compliant self-aligning mount system to obtain accurate printhead positioning, and a unique integrated printhead tending system that includes a compact movable vacuum knife for cleaning the printheads, and a printhead capping station for sealing and protecting the printheads from the ambient environment when not in use.
Inkjet recording apparatus
Provided is an inkjet recording apparatus that performs inkjet recording on a recording medium in a recording region. The inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head that includes an ejection port surface where an ejection port for ejecting ink is provided, is the recording head being movable within a range including the recording region and a non-recording region where the recording is not performed, a cap capable of letting the ejection port in a capping state in the non-recording region, a blade that is placed between the recording region and the cap in a moving direction of the recording head, the blade being capable of wiping the ejection port of the recording head as the recording head moves from the non-recording region to the recording region, a blade moving unit capable of moving the blade up and down, and a control unit that controls the blade moving unit.
LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS
A liquid discharging apparatus includes a liquid discharging head that discharges a liquid onto a medium, a wiping mechanism that wipes a liquid discharging surface of the liquid discharging head and has a wiper portion that moves along an axis that is along the liquid discharging surface and wipes the liquid discharging surface, and an electric portion that is a portion related to controlling the liquid discharging apparatus includes at least one circuit substrate, in which a first direction along the axis the intersects a surface of the circuit substrate, and in the first direction, at least a part of the electric portion overlaps a part of the wiping mechanism.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing device for generating data to be used by a recording device, which includes a plurality of discharge portions configured to discharge a liquid to form the object on the medium, includes a communication circuit configured to communicate with the recording device; an identifying unit configured to identify, based on a movement direction of the recording device in formation of the object on the medium, an initial pixel of the object formed by an initial discharge of the liquid by each of the plurality of discharge portions; a data generation unit configured to generate discharge control data for controlling a discharge operation of each of the plurality of discharge portions for the initial pixel identified by the identifying unit; and a transmission control unit configured to control the communication circuit to transmit the discharge control data to the recording device.
PRINTER AND ABSORPTION BODY
A printer that includes a platen, a head, a support plate, and an absorption body. A print medium is placed on the platen. The head includes a nozzle surface and is configured to discharge ink, in a discharge direction, from the nozzle surface. The support plate is configured to support the head. The absorption body is provided on the discharge direction of the support plate. The absorption body is exposed to the platen and is configured to absorb liquid.
Method of removing printhead cartridge from print module
A method of removing a printhead cartridge from a print module includes the steps of: rotating a first wing lever to effect linear sliding movement of a first ink coupling of the print module away from the printhead cartridge; rotating a second wing lever to effect linear sliding movement of a second ink coupling of the print module away from the printhead cartridge; and removing the printhead cartridge from the print module. The first and second wing levers each has an axis of rotation perpendicular to a direction of linear sliding movement of the first and second ink couplings.
Liquid ejection head and liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid ejection head includes a liquid ejection face on which multiple ejection port arrays, each of which is formed with multiple ejection ports that eject liquid, are arranged. In the liquid ejection head, a first protrusion and a second protrusion, which have different sizes, are arranged in peripheral areas of the ejection port arrays on the liquid ejection face.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a carriage configured to scan in a scanning direction, and a discharge head mounted on the carriage and configured to discharge liquid. The discharge head includes a housing and a cover that covers the housing, and a space is provided between an end portion of the cover and an end portion of the housing in the scanning direction. The cover is movable relative to the housing in the scanning direction.
SPIT FLAP FOR INKJET PRINTHEAD
A printing device includes: an inkjet printhead; a lift mechanism for raising and lowering the printhead through a lift path; and a pivotally movable spit flap positioned in the lift path. The spit flap is configured to swing away from the lift path when the printhead contacts the spit flap during lowering of the printhead.
Cleaning device for printing heads
A cleaning device for printing heads arranged in a group along an alignment direction (Y) with a lower surface lying on a main plane (T). The device comprises a collecting head (2), movable along the alignment direction (Y) on the main plane (Y), in contact with or near the lower surfaces of the heads. The print head (2) is movable between a first and a second position that are located at the ends of the group of heads. The collecting head (2) is provided with an inlet opening (21) for collecting material from the heads (T).
