20220097378 · 2022-03-31 ·

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes an ejecting head that ejects a liquid containing a humectant and water from a nozzle, a cap configured to form a closed space to which the nozzle opens, and a controller that controls the ejecting head, wherein the controller includes a calculation unit and a discharge controller, wherein the calculation unit calculates an available water amount of the liquid in the cap, and when the available water amount is smaller than a preset initial available water amount, the discharge controller discharges an amount of the liquid, where the amount includes, as the available water amount, an amount obtained by multiplying a difference between the available water amount and the initial available water amount by a predetermined coefficient larger than one.

Liquid ejecting device setting non-ejection drive time based on uncapped time, temperature and humidity

A liquid ejecting device includes a head, a cap, a moving mechanism and a controller. The moving mechanism is configured to move the head and the cap relative to each other to switch the cap between a capping state in which the cap is in contact with the head and covers the plurality of nozzles and a non-capping state in which the cap is separated from the head and uncovers the same. The controller is configured to perform setting a non-ejection drive time based on an uncapped time duration which is a length of time from a timing at which the cap is switched to the non-capping state until a timing at which the cap is switched back to the capping state. The controller is configured to perform vibrating meniscus of liquid in the plurality of nozzles during the non-ejection drive time.

SPITTOON ASSEMBLY FOR A PRINTING DEVICE

Disclosed herein is a spittoon assembly for a printing device, a printing device comprising a spittoon assembly, and a method of cleaning a print head using a spittoon assembly. The spittoon assembly comprises a waste receptacle and a spit plate with a receiving surface. The receiving surface is inclined relative to a horizontal direction by an inclination angle when the spittoon assembly is mounted in the printing device. A fluid path extends from the receiving surface to the waste receptacle.

An integrated inkjet module includes: a chassis having an elongate base plate and a rear wall extending upwards therefrom; an elongate printhead liftably mounted on the chassis; a lift mechanism operatively connected to the printhead for lifting and lowering the printhead relative to the base plate; a capping assembly slidably mounted on the base plate, the capping assembly having a capper extending parallel with the rear wall and the printhead; a capper movement mechanism operatively connected to the capping assembly for linearly slidably moving the capping assembly towards and away from the rear wall; and a cap cover pivotally mounted to the rear wall. During use, engagement of part of the capping assembly with the cap cover pivots the cap cover away from the capper to allow sliding movement of the capper towards the rear wall and into a covered position.

LIQUID-CONSUMING APPARATUS

An ink-jet printer includes: a tank including an ink storage chamber and an inlet; a cap which is detachably attachable to the inlet; a cover configured to move between a first position and a second position farther from the inlet than the first position; and an arm configured to locate the cap at an inlet closing position and an inlet opening position. Under a condition that the cap is in the inlet opening position and the cover is in the second position, the arm holds the cap in a state that the cap does not contact with the cover. Under a condition that the cap is in the inlet opening position, a part of at least one of the cap and the arm is in the moving locus of the cover between the first position and the second position.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOAD-LOCKED PRINTING

The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for preventing oxidation or contamination during a circuit printing operation. The circuit printing operation can be directed to OLED-type printing. In an exemplary embodiment, the printing process is conducted at a load-locked printer housing having one or more of chambers. Each chamber is partitioned from the other chambers by physical gates or fluidic curtains. A controller coordinates transportation of a substrate through the system and purges the system by timely opening appropriate gates. The controller may also control the printing operation by energizing the print-head at a time when the substrate is positioned substantially thereunder.
