METHOD OF WIPING PRINTHEAD
20220048300 · 2022-02-17 ·

A method of wiping an inkjet printhead. The method includes the steps of: lifting a print module carrier relative to a media feed path, the print module carrier having a mounting arm bridging over a wiper carriage parked at one longitudinal end of a printhead carried by the print module carrier; and moving the wiper carriage, from its parked position below the mounting arm, longitudinally along the printhead to wipe a surface of the printhead.

LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS

A liquid ejection apparatus is disclosed. One apparatus includes a nozzle through which fluid is ejected or purged, and a pressure regulating valve arranged upstream of the nozzle. The pressure regulating valve is configured to open in response to an open/close pressure differential of the fluid across the pressure regulating valve. The pressure regulating valve is configured to controllably regulate the open/close pressure differential. The apparatus further includes a controller configured to, when a suction pump is being operated to perform a first purging operation comprising creating a first negative pressure through suctioning by the suction pump to purge the fluid through the nozzle, control the pressure regulating valve to set the open/close pressure differential of the pressure regulating valve to a first value.

PRINT DEVICE

A print device includes a processor and a memory. The memory storing computer-readable instructions which, when executed by the processor, perform processes. The processes include covering processing controlling a cap into a covering state in which the cap covers a nozzle. The processes include first purge processing purging, in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and a supply valve is closed, an ink from the nozzle by operating a pump at a first rotation speed. The processes include injection processing injecting, after the first purge processing and in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and the supply valve is open, the cleaning liquid into the interior of the cap by operating the pump at a second rotation speed to cause the cleaning liquid to soak a nozzle face.

CAP AND PRINTER

A tank comprises a container body configured to contain an ink and an ink fill port configured to accept the ink to be injected into the container body. A cap is provided to close the ink fill port when the cap is attached to the tank. The cap comprises a covering portion configured to cover the ink fill port; a seal portion protruded from the covering portion to be inserted into the ink fill port and configured to close the ink fill port when the seal portion is inserted in the ink fill port; and a skirt portion protruded from the covering portion in a direction of protrusion of the seal portion from the covering portion and located away from the seal portion when the covering portion is viewed from a seal portion side. The skirt portion is protruded more than the seal portion.

Print pen capping apparatus

A print pen capping apparatus for a printer comprises a cap station carrying one or more caps, wherein the cap station is moveable between a retracted position in which the cap station is arranged at a side of a print media path and a capping position adjacent the media path for capping the print pen.

RECORDING APPARATUS

A recording apparatus includes a carriage which includes a recording head that performs recording on a medium and is movable in a predetermined direction; and a power supply unit that supplies power for driving drive targets including the carriage, wherein the power supply unit is located at a position in a movement area of the carriage. The power supply unit is disposed on an apparatus front side with respect to the movement area of the carriage in an apparatus depth direction, which is a direction intersecting the movement direction of the carriage. The power supply unit is disposed on an upper side of a medium transportation path in the vertical direction.

Inkjet Printing Apparatus and Method of Controlling the Same

A controller of an inkjet printing apparatus is configured to receive first data, which an information processing apparatus transmits in response to receipt of a print instruction. The first data includes an instruction to move the cap from a covering position to a spaced position. Upon receipt of the first data, the controller determines a location of the cap. Then, upon determination that the cap is located at the spaced position, the controller determines the state of the driving force transmission assembly. The controller switches the state to the first state by moving the carriage to the non-recordation area in response to determination that the state is not the first state. Then, the controller receives second data, which includes image recordation condition, from the information processing apparatus, in response to determination that the state is the first state or after switching of the state to the first state is started.

Inkjet printing apparatus and control method with coordinated filling operations

An inkjet printing apparatus includes a printhead, a subtank for storing ink to be supplied to the printhead, a maintank for storing ink to be supplied to the subtank, a valve that can be switched between an open state in which the printhead communicates with the subtank and a closed state in which the printhead does not communicate with the subtank, a cap for covering an discharging port surface of the printhead, a pump for generating a negative pressure in an inside of the cap with the cap covering the discharging port surface, and an internal pressure changing member for changing an internal pressure of the subtank to perform a subtank filling operation in which ink is supplied from maintank to the subtank.
