Inkjet printing apparatus
Disclosed is an inkjet printing apparatus including a connection switching device in a housing having external suction ports and an internal suction port being disposed at an equal distance from the center of rotation of a switching section, the external suction ports being connectable to a plurality of lines, the internal suction port being connected to a suction path for sucking the interior of the housing. The connection switching device selectively connects any of the plurality of external suction ports to the suction device by rotating the switching section Consequently, when the switching section is connected to the internal suction port, the interior of the housing is sucked, whereby ink is sucked from all the inkjet nozzles.
Head maintenance device, liquid discharge apparatus, and printer
A head maintenance device includes a cap configured to cap a nozzle surface of a head configured to discharge a liquid, a wiper configured to wipe the nozzle surface of the head, a holder configured to vertically movably hold the cap and the wiper to a height at which the cap and the wiper bite into the absorbing member, and a cleaner configured to move relative to the cap and the wiper, the cleaner comprising an absorbing member configured to contact the cap and the wiper.
Liquid discharge apparatus
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a head configured to discharge a liquid, and a discharge receptacle configured to receive the liquid discharged from the head at an installation position. The discharge receptacle includes a liquid holder configured to receive the liquid discharged from the head, and a support configured to detachably support the liquid holder. At least a part of the support is displaceable to a detachment position at which the liquid holder is detachable from the support, and the detachment position is lower than the installation position.
Liquid discharge apparatus
A liquid discharge apparatus is provided, which comprises a conveyer, a rotatable support mechanism which supports a medium, a head, and a maintenance mechanism which has a cap configured to cover nozzles of the head. The support mechanism is configured to rotate about a rotation shaft to a first rotation position and a second rotation position at which a rotation end is separated further from the head as compared with a situation provided at the first rotation position. The maintenance mechanism is configured to move to a waiting position which is positioned oppositely to the rotation shaft of the support mechanism with respect to the rotation end of the support mechanism and a maintenance position which is positioned between the head and the support mechanism disposed at the second rotation position and at which the cap covers the nozzles.
APPLYING A CAP
A method of applying a cap to a printhead may comprise selectively applying an immiscible fluid to a surface of a printhead in which the immiscible fluid caps a number of nozzles on a number of nozzles defined within the printhead. A printhead may comprise a layer of immiscible fluid in which the immiscible fluid is selectively applied to the surface of the printhead and in which the immiscible fluid caps a number of nozzles defined within the printhead. A printer may comprise a printhead comprising a number of nozzles, an immiscible fluid applicator, and a processor to instruction the immiscible fluid applicator to apply a layer of immiscible fluid to the surface of the printhead.
Liquid Ejection Device
A liquid ejection device includes an ejection head, a cap configured to cover the nozzle, a first liquid receiver including a first receiving surface and a discharge portion connected to the first receiving surface. The liquid ejection device includes a second liquid receiver including a second receiving surface positioned under the discharge portion. One of the first liquid receiver and the second liquid receiver has an engagement portion, and the other of the first liquid receiver and the second liquid receiver has an engaged portion. A play between the engagement portion and the engaged portion is smaller than a distance between both ends of the second receiving surface in the direction parallel to the second receiving surface.
Liquid Discharge Apparatus
There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus including a liquid discharge head, a carriage, a cap, and a cap moving mechanism configured to locate the cap in a capping position and in an uncapping position. The cap moving mechanism has a moving member configured to move integrally with the cap in a first direction, a carriage locker, and a restraint portion configured to restrain the moving member from rotating about an axis orthogonal to the first direction. The restraint portion restrains the moving member from rotating such that when the cap arrives in the uncapping position, the rotating range of the carriage locker does not overlap with the carriage in a scanning direction.
Liquid Ejection Device
A liquid ejection device includes an ejection head with at least one nozzle on an ejection surface, a cap, and a liquid receiver having a first side in a first direction parallel to the ejection surface and a second side opposite to the first side in the first direction. The liquid ejection device includes a movement mechanism configured to move at least one of the cap and the ejection head between states where the cap covers the ejection head and where the cap does not cover the ejection head. In the state that the cap is separated from the ejection head, the support structure supports the liquid receiver to be inclined such that the first side is positioned lower than the second side in the second direction. The liquid receiver includes an outlet disposed on the first side.
HEAD CAP AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
A head cap covers an inkjet type recording head. The head cap includes a cap housing and a cap cover. The cap housing has a liquid storage space opened upward. The cap cover is provided along an open end of the cap housing. The cap cover has an opening through which the recording head enters and leaves.
PRINTING APPARATUS HAVING FIRST HEAD AND SECOND HEAD THAT EJECT INK IN SAME COLOR
A printing apparatus includes: first and second heads; a carriage; and a control device. The control device is configured to perform: (a) selecting; (b) setting; and (c) executing. The (a) selecting sets one of the first and second heads as an active head. The (b) setting sets an operation mode to one of a plurality of modes including first and second modes. The (c) executing executes a printing operation under the operation mode. The printing operation is performed by ejecting ink from both the first and second heads in a state where the first mode is set as the operation mode. The printing operation is performed by ejecting ink from the active head without ejecting ink from a non-active head in a state where the second mode is set as the operation mode. The non-active head is a head other than the active head among the first and second heads.
