LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS AND MAINTENANCE METHOD OF LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting portion that has a supply port, a second discharge port, a plurality of nozzles, and a nozzle surface on which a plurality of the nozzles are open, and that discharges the liquid from the nozzles, a liquid supply flow path coupled to the supply port so that the liquid is supplied to the liquid ejecting portion, and a liquid return flow path coupled to the second discharge port so that the liquid supplied to the liquid ejecting portion is returned to the liquid supply flow path, in which a pressure lowering operation of lowering a pressure in the liquid ejecting portion is performed in a state where a flow of the liquid in the liquid return flow path is blocked after performing a pressurization discharge operation of pressurizing the liquid in the liquid ejecting portion and discharging the liquid from the nozzle.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS
An inkjet printing apparatus includes a head, a platen, a platen absorbent that temporarily stores ink ejected from the head, a waste ink storage container that stores the ink discharged from the platen absorbent, and an estimation unit that, in a case where the platen is divided into a plurality of regions in a direction intersecting a conveyance direction of the printing medium, estimates an amount of ink stored in the waste ink storage container based on a position of a region to which the ink is ejected by the head and an amount of ink ejected to the region.
RECORDING SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD FOR RECORDING SYSTEM
A maintenance operation can be executed by ejecting a liquid when a time measured with reference to displacement of a cap from a maintenance position to a separation position exceeds a defined time. Before start of a recording operation in a recording job, a first medium waits at a standby position where the medium can wait upstream of a liquid ejection head. The cap is located at the separation position when a first medium in the recording job is waiting at the standby position. During an initial control period, in parallel with the maintenance operation, a post-processing operation can be executed on a second number of media that is smaller than a first number of media, and a post-processing operation can be executed on the first number of media in parallel with the maintenance operation after end of the initial control period.
INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS
An ink jet recording apparatus includes a cap, a control unit, and a recording unit having nozzle arrays each including a plurality of nozzles for ejecting ink in an image recording operation. The cap receives ink preliminarily ejected from the recording unit. The control unit controls an ejection operation to eject ink in response to receiving a recording command to cause an amount of ink ejected from a first nozzle group in a first preliminary ejection executed prior to the recording operation of the image to be smaller than an amount of ink ejected from a second nozzle group different from the first nozzle group in a second preliminary ejection executed prior to the recording operation of the image in a case where the recording command includes an instruction for recording the image by using the second nozzle group without using the first nozzle group among the plurality of nozzles.
Print head and liquid ejecting apparatus
A print head assembled to a liquid ejecting apparatus ejecting a liquid with respect to a medium includes an ejecting portion ejecting the liquid in response to a drive signal and an electrically erasable non-volatile memory, and the non-volatile memory stores history information changing in accordance with an operation state of the print head.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a recording head capable of moving back and forth relative to a recording medium and ejecting a liquid from a nozzle, a cover portion that covers at least a portion of a no-nozzle-formed region in which the nozzle is not formed within a nozzle-formed surface in which the nozzle is formed, and a wiper provided in a back-and-forth movement range of the recording head and capable of wiping the cover portion without contacting the nozzle-formed surface as the recording head moves back and forth.
LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE, AND LIQUID EJECTING METHOD
A liquid ejecting device performing printing by ejecting liquid onto a medium in a printing region, the liquid ejecting device including an ejecting unit including a first ejecting unit ejecting the liquid onto the medium, and a second ejecting unit ejecting a reaction liquid containing a coagulant for coagulating a component in the liquid, a transport unit configured to transport the medium, a jam detector configured to detect a jam of the medium, and a control unit configured to control the ejecting unit, and the transport unit, wherein when the jam is detected in the jam detector, the control unit causes the transportation of the medium by the transport unit to stop, and causes the liquid, the reaction liquid, or the liquid and the reaction liquid to be ejected in the printing region from the first ejecting unit, and the second ejecting unit.
LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE
A liquid ejecting device includes a base portion, a liquid ejecting portion movably provided at the base portion, a medium supporting portion provided at the base portion and configured to support a printing medium in a printing region where the liquid ejecting portion performs printing, and a maintenance portion disposed in a region on the +X direction side of the printing region in the X-axis direction in the base portion. The maintenance portion includes a moisturizing portion that can form a closed space to which nozzle opens, a cleaning portion that can forcibly discharge liquid from the nozzle, and a wiper that can wipe a nozzle surface where the nozzle is provided. The moisturizing portion, the cleaning portion and the wiper are disposed side by side in the Y-axis direction.
