The head moving unit moves the line head to a recording position and a retracted position along a B direction. The cap unit is configured to move back and forth in an A direction between the line head and the transport unit. The wiper unit is configured to move back and forth in a Y direction intersecting both the B direction and the A direction between the line head and the transport unit. At least a portion of a first movement area in which the cap unit moves and at least a portion of a second movement area in which the wiper unit moves are disposed at an identical position in the B direction.

CLEANING DEVICE FOR LIQUID JET HEAD
20230029548 · 2023-02-02 ·

There is provided a cleaning device for a liquid jet head which can efficiently clean a jet plate attached with a guard member while preventing cleaning liquid from being leaked along an opening of the guard member. The cleaning device for the inkjet head includes a holder moving relatively to the inkjet head, wherein the holder includes a jet section for jetting the cleaning liquid toward a nozzle guard of the inkjet head, a wipe part which has a width in a width direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the holder smaller than a width of an opening of the nozzle guard, and which wipes a nozzle plate due to a movement of the holder, a first suction section disposed ahead of the jet section and the wipe part in the moving direction of the holder, and a second suction section disposed posterior to the jet section and the wipe part in the moving direction of the holder.

A method including: a conveying step of conveying a continuous sheet to be a component of a disposable worn article in a longitudinal direction; a printing step of repeatedly printing a predetermined pattern by spraying ink from a first group of nozzles of an inkjet print head onto a surface of the continuous sheet; and a flushing step of performing a flushing operation of spraying ink from at least a second group of nozzles of the head onto the surface of the continuous sheet.

Ink Printer and Method for Printing to a Recording Medium in the Form of a Web
20220339939 · 2022-10-27 ·

For printing to a recording medium in the form of a web that is moved in a horizontal direction to the printing position by a web carriage. There, the recording medium is raised up to the print heads. To clean the print heads, a maintenance carriage is used that is moved horizontally into a maintenance position below the print bars. There, a cleaning unit with covering caps is then driven upward to the print heads in order to either place a covering cap onto the print heads or clean the print heads. The web carriage and the maintenance unit are moved only in a horizontal direction while the printing unit remains stationary.

PRINTING PRESS AND METHOD FOR CLEANING AT LEAST ONE NOZZLE BAR OF AT LEAST ONE PRINTING UNIT

In some examples, a printing press includes a printing unit with at least four nozzle bars, each including a print head. At least one nozzle bar has a printing position and at least one service position. For instance, in a first service position, the at least one nozzle bar has a first distance to the transport path of a printing substrate, and in a second service position the at least one nozzle bar has a second distance to the transport path. The printing unit includes at least one cleaning device and/or cleaning system that is selectively arranged in an area between the at least one nozzle bar and the transport path. The at least one service position may be arranged in vertical direction above the printing position, and the second distance of the second service position of the nozzle bar may be less than in the first service position.

Wash fluid for use in inkjet recording apparatus and image formation method

A wash fluid for use in an inkjet recording apparatus contains water, a coconut oil fatty acid surfactant, an organic deliquescent agent, a polyhydric alcohol, and a basic inorganic compound. The polyhydric alcohol is an alkanediol. The coconut oil fatty acid surfactant is contained in an amount of at least 0.01% by mass and no greater than 3.00% by mass. The organic deliquescent agent is contained in an amount of at least 0.10% by mass and no greater than 30.00% by mass.

Printing apparatus for printing by discharging ink to an upper surface of a base material in the form of an elongated strip

Since a head part is arranged in an inclined posture, the ink ejected from a nozzle surface of the head part may drip to a first lower surface peripheral edge portion along the nozzle surface, and then drops from a first long side of a lower surface of the head part toward a first side wall of a cover member being arranged below the head part. The first side wall having an upper end portion is located away from the first long side. Thus, the dropped ink is collected by the cover member without being attached to the upper end portion of the first side wall. Therefore, the ink can be prevented from being solidified at the first lower surface peripheral edge portion and the reattachment of the ink to the nozzle surface can be effectively prevented.

HEAD UNIT AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME

A head unit includes a recording head and a unit frame. The unit frame includes a main frame extending along a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a recording medium, and is configured to hold one or more recording heads on both side surfaces of the main frame. The main frame includes: a main body portion having a flat-plate shape and standing along the width direction; and bent portions formed by perpendicularly bending both end portions of the main body portion in the width direction. The unit frame includes a pair of reinforcing members provided at the bent portions. The reinforcing members each include a side wall portion opposed to the main body portion and a bottom surface portion provided so as to extend in a horizontal direction from a lower end portion of the side wall portion.
