20170348972 · 2017-12-07 ·

To provide an ink jet recording method capable of suppressing generation of image streaks and recording a high-quality image, when using a recording apparatus equipped with a line head. Provided is an ink jet recording method which records an image on a recording medium by using an ink jet recording apparatus equipped with a line head. In this method, the line head has a plurality of recording element substrates each having a nozzle array made up of a plurality of nozzles which eject an aqueous ink. The recording element substrates are arranged in the predetermined direction. An average temperature Te (° C.) of an aqueous ink ejected from terminal-portion nozzles constituting the terminal portion of the nozzle array and an average temperature Tc (° C.) of an aqueous ink ejected from center-portion nozzles constituting the center portion of the nozzle array satisfy the following relationship: Te>Tc.

Method and device for checking a cleaning unit

A device may be configured to check, via evaluation of resistance data of a cleaning sensor arranged on a print bar of an inkjet printing device, whether a cleaner for cleaning the one or more print heads of the print bar exhibits a negative effect. The state of a cleaner may be reliably and efficiently monitored via the installation of a cleaning sensor in a print bar.

INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS

A data-generating unit of an inkjet recording apparatus recognizes, based on a detection signal of a recording medium output from a recording medium detection sensor, an open part region that is a region of an open part located in a position shifted from a recording medium detected by the recording medium detection sensor in a transport direction among regions of a plurality of open parts included in an open part reading data read by an open part detection sensor to generate flushing data in accordance with the open part region. A flushing control unit recognizes at least one non-image-forming period in which the open part corresponding to the region passes a position facing the recording head by running of the transport belt, based on the detection signal, and causes the recording head to execute flushing, based on flushing data, in the at least one non-image-forming period.

System and method for inoperative inkjet detection in a printer of three-dimensional objects

A three dimensional printer is configured to move at least one printhead from an area where the printhead is forming an object to a position opposite a shaft. The at least one printhead is operated to eject material onto the shaft and the shaft is rotated to enable a light sensor to generate signals indicative of a height of material at a plurality of positions on the shaft. The signals are compared to an expected height of material at each position to identify inoperative inkjets in the at least one printhead.

A single-pass inkjet printer contains a track for guiding a printing medium in the Y direction, a plurality of printing head modules which are arranged one behind the other in the Y direction and a respective plurality of printing heads which extends in the X direction transversely over the track, and a printing region in which the printing head modules can be mounted in a respective printing position in an upright manner in the Z direction and in a reversibly insertable and removable manner along the Z direction. The single-pass inkjet printer further contains a storage region in which a number of printing head modules are mounted in a storage position in an upright manner substantially in the Z direction and in a reversibly insertable and removable manner along the Z direction. The printing heads of printing head modules set in the storage position are received in a protective cover.

INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS WITH WIPER FOR INKJET HEAD

An inkjet printing apparatus includes: a print bar unit having a print bar, a maintainer, and a movement driver; and a controller. Upon maintenance of an inkjet head of the print bar, the controller is configured to drive the movement driver to move the maintainer from a deployment position to a retreat position with the print bar arranged at a maintenance position above a height position for printing while wiping a nozzle surface of the inkjet head with the wiper of the maintainer being moved. The deployment position is a position under the inkjet head in maintenance of the inkjet head and the retreat position is a position where the maintainer is retreated from the deployment position.

In order that the interior of a cap member, in a case where the cap member abuts to a cover member, is allowed to have improved airtightness so that the cap member can sufficiently function, a sealing member is used to seal between the cover member and first and second flow path members for retaining the cover member.

System and method for preserving ink viscosity in inkjets in an inkjet printer during printing

A method of operating a printer supplies an ink solvent or mixture of ink solvents to porous members positioned adjacent printheads. The ink solvent or solvent mixture evaporates from the porous members to provide a solvent vapor environment in the vicinity of the nozzle plates of the printheads. The solvent vapor environment attenuates the evaporation of ink solvent from ink drops on the nozzle plates or from the ink in the nozzles of the printheads. Thus, the ink on the nozzle plates and in the nozzles does not dry out and the operational status of the inkjets is preserved.

A recording device has: a recording head configured to perform recording on a medium; a medium storage below the recording head configured to store the medium to be recoded; a supply path comprising a first curved supply path curved so as to be convex upward and transporting the medium fed out of the medium storage in a reversed direction via the first curved supply path; and a reversing path comprising a second curved path curved so as to be convex downward and transporting the recorded medium into a direction including a vertically upward component via second curved path from a direction including a vertically downward component; wherein the supply path joins the reversing path, and the first curved path and the second curved path overlap when viewed horizontally.

LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD AND LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS

A cover member includes two end regions located at two ends in a first direction, and two beam portions which extend in the first direction and connect the two end regions together and which, together with the two end regions, form a single opening that exposes a plurality of discharge ports. When a width of the opening is denoted as a [mm], a minimum length in the first direction of the end regions is denoted as c [mm], a modulus of longitudinal elasticity of the cover member is denoted as E [GPa], and a thickness of the cover member is denoted as t [mm], the following expression is established.

[00001] c 10 .Math. ( a 25 ) 4 ( t 0.3 ) 3 .Math. ( E 200 )
