Pipette-fillable printhead body
A unitary, molded fluid reservoir body to which a fluid ejection head substrate is attached. The unitary, molded fluid reservoir body includes one or more discrete fluid chambers therein. Each of the one or more fluid chambers have an open top, side walls, and sloped bottom walls attached to the side walls, wherein each of the one or more fluid chambers terminates in a fluid supply via, and wherein the sloped bottom walls have an angle ranging from about 6 to about 12 degrees relative to a plane orthogonal to the sidewalls. An ejection head support face is disposed opposite the open top for attachment of a single fluid ejection device to the ejection head support face for ejecting fluid provided from the one or more chambers through the one or more fluid supply vias.
Liquid jetting apparatus
A liquid jetting apparatus includes a casing, a tank formed with a liquid storage chamber which stores liquid, an inlet which allows the liquid to be poured into the liquid storage chamber, and a liquid outflow channel which allows the liquid to flow out from the liquid storage chamber, a conveying mechanism which conveys a recording medium along a conveying path extending in a front-rear direction, a carriage which moves in a left-right direction, and a head mounted on the carriage and having a nozzle which jets the liquid onto the recording medium conveyed by the conveying mechanism. The tank, the conveying path, and the carriage are arranged inside the casing, the tank is arranged outside the conveying path in the left-right direction, and at least a part of the tank is arranged inside both ends of a movement area of the carriage in the left-right direction.
DEVICE TO SUPPLY PRINTING MATERIAL
A device to supply printing material to a printing material container of a printing apparatus may includes a chamber to store the printing material, a printing material outlet portion through which the printing material stored in the chamber is to be discharged, a plunger head to move in the chamber to discharge the printing material stored in the chamber through the printing material outlet portion, and a plunger handle disengaged from the plunger head and to engage the plunger head to move the plunger head to discharge the printing material.
Optical sensor removal mechanism for a printing apparatus
The printing apparatus includes a carriage having a print head mounted thereon, a carriage guide configured to guide movement of the carriage and to support the carriage, an optical scale member having an optical scale, an optical sensor mounting member having an optical sensor mounted thereon to read the optical scale, the optical sensor mounting member being fixed to a support surface of a support wall of the carriage, and a head portion of the fixing screw configured to be switched between a fixed state in which the optical sensor mounting member is fixed to the carriage and a release state in which the fixed state is released. The head of the fixing screw is located on a side opposite to the support surface with respect to the support wall when the optical sensor mounting member is in the fixed state.
Aqueous ink, ink cartridge and ink jet recording method
Provided is an aqueous ink for ink jet that has excellent storage stability and whose viscosity does not easily increase even in a case where the ink is stored in a severe environment such as a high temperature condition. This aqueous ink for ink jet contains a coloring material and a block copolymer. The block copolymer includes an A block having a segment A having no acid group and a group represented by Formula (1) bonded to one terminal of the segment A, and a B block having a segment B having an acid group and a group represented by Formula (2) bonded to one terminal of the segment B. ##STR00001## (In Formula (1), R.sub.1 represents an alkylene group, and M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, ammonium or organic ammonium. In Formula (2), R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each independently represent an alkyl group or the like.)
Liquid ejection device including cartridge attachment portion and power transmission mechanism arranged on the same side relative to sheet roll holder
A liquid ejection device includes: a casing; a holder for rotatably supporting a sheet roll including a continuous sheet; a power transmission mechanism positioned beside the holder for transmitting a rotational driving force thereto; a cartridge attachment portion for receiving a cartridge; a conveying mechanism for conveying the continuous sheet to a discharge opening on a front surface of the casing; a head; and a maintenance unit. The holder supporting the sheet roll is rotatable about a rotation axis extending in a leftward/rightward direction. The cartridge and the holder are detachably attachable to the casing through an opening thereof. The cartridge attachment portion and the power transmission mechanism are positioned at the same side of the holder in the leftward/rightward direction. An occupying range of the maintenance unit is across respective occupying ranges of the cartridge attachment portion and the power transmission mechanism in the leftward/rightward direction.
Printer Recirculation Control
Certain examples relate to controlling recirculation processes in a printing apparatus. An example printing material cartridge includes a reservoir storing printing material to supply a printing apparatus; memory; and instructions for controlling a recirculation process in the printing apparatus, the instructions stored in the memory, the recirculation process to cause the printing material to move between the reservoir and a second printing material cartridge, the second printing material cartridge separately replaceable from the printing material cartridge in the printing apparatus.
INK CARTRIDGE, CARTRIDGE HOLDING MECHANISM, AND PRINTING APPARATUS
An ink cartridge includes a main body, a head part, a first hole, a label, and a second hole. The main body stores ink. The head part is provided on the main body and has a plurality of nozzles for ejecting ink. The first hole has a tapered shape which narrows from an outer side toward an inner side of the main body, and a needle for supplying ink to the main body is inserted into the first hole. The label in a film shape is attached to the main body. The second hole is provided at the label and overlaps the first hole in a plan view of the label. The second hole guides the needle to the first hole when the needle is inserted.
INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS
