An inkjet printing apparatus performs printing on a printing medium by feeding ink to an inkjet head having a plurality of nozzles and dispensing the ink from the inkjet head to the printing medium. The apparatus includes a tank, a supply pipe communicatively connecting the tank and the inkjet head, a pump for feeding the ink stored in the tank to the inkjet head, a filter disposed on a path of the supply pipe, and a controller for operates the pump and controlling feeding of the ink. The controller operates the pump to engage in forward drive in time of printing operation, and operates the pump to engage in backward drive in time of functional recovery operation.

Liquid storage device and liquid filling method

A liquid filling method of filling a liquid storage device including a first tank that stores a liquid to be supplied to an ejection head ejecting the liquid and a second tank that stores the liquid to be supplied to the first tank through a connection port provided in the first tank with the liquid, the method including: injecting the liquid from a liquid storage container into the first tank through a first liquid introduction port provided in the first tank, in a state where a second liquid introduction port provided in the second tank is closed.

Print surface positioning system for food product printer
20220184965 · 2022-06-16 ·

A system and method for positioning a food product with respect to a print head for printing on a surface thereof. The system is incorporated into a printer. The system has a movable support surface for supporting the food product thereon, the support surface being vertically and horizontally moveable with respect to the print head. A sensor is provided for detecting a position of a surface of the food product positioned on the moveable support surface with respect to the print head. The sensor provides a signal to the printer indicative of a position of the surface of the food product and wherein the moveable support surface is adjustable in response thereto. The sensor is a position sensor configured to detect the position of a top surface of the food product.
