20230236771 · 2023-07-27 · ·

A printing device comprises a housing, a communication interface configured to communicate with a server, and a controller. The printing device is configured to operate either in a contract mode or in a normal mode. The housing is configured such that one or more consumables including a first type consumable and a second type consumable are attachable. The first type consumable is dedicated for the contract printing, and the second type consumable is usable for printing in both the contract mode and the normal mode. The controller is configured to activate the contract mode in response to an activation instruction from the server. In a case where the second type consumable is attached to the housing when the contract mode is activated, the controller changes a state of the printing device to a contract printing state in which the contract printing is activated after activating the contract mode.

A physical quantity detection device including a container that accommodates a detection object formed of a dielectric, a first electrode provided at an outer side of the container, a second electrode that is provided separately from and to face the first electrode, and an electrostatic capacitance detector that detects an electrostatic capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode. The electrostatic capacitance detector includes a waveform generation source coupled to the first electrode and a voltage detection circuit coupled to the second electrode. A relationship of |Zc|/|Z1|+|Zc|>|Zc|/|Z2|+|Zc| is satisfied in which |Zc| is an absolute value of an input impedance of the electrostatic capacitance detector, |Z1| is an absolute value of an impedance when the detection object is present between the first electrode and the second electrode, and |Z2| is an absolute value of an impedance when no detection object is present between the first electrode and the second electrode.

Liquid surface detector, image forming apparatus, and method for controlling liquid surface detector
11568190 · 2023-01-31 · ·

A liquid surface detector includes an electrode pad, a coil, a memory, and a detection control circuit. The electrode pad is attached to an outer side surface of a tank of the image forming apparatus. The coil is connected to the electrode pad. The memory stores initial values. The detection control circuit determines a capacitance (first capacitance) of a first resonance circuit including the coil and the tank with the electrode pad. When determining a liquid surface level value, the detection control circuit subtracts an error value from the first capacitance so as to determine a first corrected capacitance, and determines the liquid surface level value based on the first corrected capacitance and the initial value.

CAPILLARY STRUCTURES

An example fluidic device comprises a fluid reservoir having a porous media arranged within the reservoir, and a capillary structure. The capillary structure is in fluid communication with the porous media and the fluid reservoir and has tuned parameters corresponding to parameters of the fluid reservoir and the porous media. Wherein fluid within the capillary structure is to change level in response to pressure changes in the reservoir.

LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE AND LIQUID RESERVOIR TO INCREASE VOLUME RATIO OF STORED LIQUID

A liquid ejecting device includes a head having a nozzle configured to eject liquid, a container that is connected with the head and is configured to store the liquid, a communication section configured to communicate an internal space of the container with atmosphere, and a liquid reservoir configured to store the liquid and to be removably attached to the container. An internal space of the liquid reservoir is communicated with the internal space of the container through a liquid flow path and a gas flow path in an attached state where the liquid reservoir is attached to the container.

Inkjet printing apparatus and determining method

An inkjet printing apparatus includes a print head that ejects ink, a waste ink tank having an absorber that absorbs ink discharged from the print head. The inkjet printing apparatus further includes a counting unit that counts a waste ink amount discharged to the waste ink tank, a timer that measures an elapsed time from installation of the waste ink tank in the apparatus, an acquiring unit that acquires a waste ink retention amount by obtaining an evaporation amount from evaporation of waste ink retained in the waste ink tank based on the elapsed time and subtracting the evaporation amount from the waste ink amount, a notifying unit that notifies that the waste ink retention amount exceeds a threshold; and a setting unit that sets the threshold based on a waste ink evaporation rate calculated by using the evaporation amount and the waste ink amount.

Liquid ejection apparatus and delivery system for liquid ejection head

A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head that is detachably attached and ejects a liquid, and a control section that is configured to transmit a delivery request for a new liquid ejection head to a server apparatus via a network.

INK REFILL CONTAINER AND INK REFILL SYSTEM

An ink refill container configured to refill an ink tank with ink and an ink refill system. An ink refill container includes a container main body having an ink chamber; an ink outlet forming portion provided at an edge of the container main body including an ink outlet configured to allow ink to flow out from the ink chamber; a valve provided in ink outlet forming portion and configured to seal the ink outlet in an openable and closable manner; and a positioning structure configured to abut on part of the ink tank and position the valve relative to ink tank when valve is opened.
