Systems and methods for sealing micro-valves for use in jetting assemblies

A micro-valve includes an orifice plate having a first surface, a second surface and an orifice extending from the first surface to the second surface. An actuating beam is disposed in spaced relation to the orifice plate. The actuating beam includes a base portion and a cantilevered portion. The base portion is separated from the orifice plate by a predetermined distance. The cantilevered portion extends from the base portion such that an overlapping portion thereof overlaps the orifice. The actuating beam is movable between a closed position and an open position. The micro-valve also includes a sealing structure including a sealing member disposed at the overlapping portion of the cantilevered portion. When the actuating beam is in the closed position, the cantilevered portion is positioned such that the sealing structure seals the orifice so as to close the micro-valve.

Low cost damper

A damper for a continuous ink jet printer, comprising a fluid receiving chamber (6), comprising at least a lateral wall (22), a fluid inlet (11), and a fluid outlet (12), and at least one membrane (14), the membrane being in a material having a Young modulus between 0.5 MPa and 1000 MPa, the membrane being deformed under the influence of a pressure variation in the first portion.

SWITCHING MECHANISM, FLOW PASSAGE SWITCHING MECHANISM, AND LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
20220332122 · 2022-10-20 ·

A switching mechanism includes a first rotating body that performs forward rotation and reverse rotation by receiving a driving force transmitted from a driving source; and a second rotating body having convex portions provided on an outer circumference at intervals. The first rotating body has an engagement portion configured to move along the outer circumference of the second rotating body. When the first rotating body rotates in a forward direction, engagement of the engagement portion with the convex portion causes rotation of the second rotating body in the forward direction together with the first rotating body. When the first rotating body rotates in a reverse direction, the engagement portion moves along the outer circumference of the second rotating body so that the second rotating body does not rotate in the reverse direction. A first interval, which is at least one of the intervals, is larger than other intervals.

PURGE VALVE ASSEMBLIES
