The circulation path includes a supply channel, the pressure chamber, a collection channel, a circulation pump, and a pressure adjustment unit. The circulation pump is disposed at a position which is higher in the direction of gravity than a liquid inlet provided in a liquid channel extending from the liquid storage unit to the pressure adjustment unit and where the circulation pump is not in contact with the inlet.

By adopting such a liquid ejecting apparatus, it is possible to suppress backflow of mist of the liquid from the collecting unit which collects mist of the liquid which occurs along with ejecting of liquid from the ejecting unit.

Filtering printing fluid

Disclosed is a method to mitigate deterioration of printing fluid in a tank of a printer. The method comprises: draining printing fluid from a tank of a printer, and stopping the draining before the tank is empty, wherein the printing fluid comprises solids suspended in imaging oil, filtering the printing fluid drained from the tank, to separate at least some of the solids from the imaging oil, passing the filtered imaging oil to a reservoir; and then passing imaging oil from the reservoir to the tank. Also disclosed is a printer and a system to perform the method.
