COLOR VARIATION MITIGATION FOR INTER-PEN ERROR HIDING

A method of printing, the method comprising: monitoring operation of first nozzles of a first nozzle array, and if malfunction of a number of first nozzles of the first nozzle array is detected, setting a number of second nozzles of a second nozzle array to a compensation mode. Monitoring operation of the number of second nozzles in the compensation mode and, in response to detecting that a printing parameter of the number of second nozzles differs from a reference printing parameter, adjusting an operation mode parameter of a subset of second nozzles.

Method and controller for predicting and compensating for a nozzle failure

A controller for an inkjet printing device is configured to predict a remaining time period until a failure of the nozzle on the basis of a time curve of offset measurement values with regard to the offset of the ink droplets ejected by said nozzle. A compensation measure may be introduced promptly, before the actual failure of the nozzle on the basis of the prediction in order to have the effect that the compensation measure takes effect at latest at the point in time of the failure of the nozzle, and thus an interruption of the print quality may be prevented.

Head driving device, liquid discharge apparatus, and head driving method

A head driving device includes a recording head, an input-and-output interface, and circuitry. The recording head includes a plurality of nozzles and a plurality of pressure generating elements corresponding to the plurality of nozzles. The input-and-output interface is configured to acquire correction information generated based on a chart image of a specific pattern for correcting a deviation amount of a landing position of each of the plurality of nozzles. The circuitry is configured to set the correction information acquired by the input-and-output interface and perform correction processing for correcting the deviation amount of the landing position on a driver for each of the plurality of nozzles of the recording head, in accordance with the correction information.

Dynamic scan quality control management for print jobs

Systems and methods are provided for reviewing printed jobs. One embodiment is a system that includes a print review device. The print review device includes a memory that stores data which indicates whether regions along a width of print media marked by a printer are flagged as bypassable, and a controller configured to determine printhead conditions within regions that have not been flagged, associate each printhead condition with a corresponding region, and to generate a report with notifications of printhead conditions within each region that has not been flagged, while foregoing determination of printhead conditions in regions that have been flagged.

PRINTHEAD POSITIONS

In one example a method comprises causing, by a processor, a nozzle of a printhead to discharge a printing fluid droplet toward a drop detector and receiving, from the drop detector, by a processor, a signal indicative of the location of the discharged printing fluid droplet. The example method comprises determining, by a processor, whether the location of the discharged droplet matches a stored location of the nozzle corresponding to a print mode. The example method comprises issuing, by a processor, a signal based on the determination.

INSPECTION SYSTEM, PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INSPECTION SYSTEM

A printing apparatus capable of communicating with at least an inspection apparatus and a processing apparatus, the printing apparatus comprising one or more controllers having one or more processors and one or more memories, the one or more controllers configured to receive a registration job for registration of image data in the inspection apparatus and an inspection job for execution of an inspection, to transmit, in a case where the registration job is received, image data based on the registration job to the inspection apparatus, to receive a notification of completion of the registration of the image data from the inspection apparatus, and to perform, in a case where the notification is received, control to perform printing based on the inspection job and to transmit an inspection instruction to the inspection apparatus.

LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
20230241886 · 2023-08-03 ·

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head, circuitry, and an image detector. The liquid discharge head includes multiple nozzles and discharges a liquid from the multiple nozzles. The circuitry causes the liquid discharge head to discharge the liquid onto a recording medium to form an image in an image area of the recording medium in a printing operation. The image detector reads the image formed on the recording medium. The circuitry further causes the liquid discharge head to discharge the liquid onto at least one of a leading end or a trailing end of the recording medium to form a flushing pattern different from the image in a flushing operation, causes the image detector to read the flushing pattern, detect a defective part in the flushing pattern read by the image detector, and identify a defective nozzle among the multiple nozzles based on defective part.

Image inspection device and saving processing method for captured image for inspection based on recoding resolution

An image inspection device is provided with: an imaging unit configured to capture a printed image; an inspection unit configured to inspect a captured image obtained by capturing the printed image by the imaging unit; an image storage unit configured to hold the captured image; and a saving processing unit configured to record the captured image into the image storage unit. The saving processing unit determines a recording resolution at a time of recording the captured image into the image storage unit, in accordance with a result of an inspection by the inspection unit.

SAFETY ZONE FOR A MAINTENANCE TASK

Examples relate to a method to print a print job. The method comprise comparing an operational parameter of the print job with a reference operational parameter and determining to perform a maintenance task during the print job based on at least a result of comparing the operational parameter with the reference operational parameter. If the maintenance task is to be performed, the method further comprises determining a safety area on a printable medium and performing a maintenance task on a printable medium.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INCREASING THE PRINT QUALITY OF AN INKJET PRINTING DEVICE

In a method and system for increasing print quality, activation pulses are activated with which a nozzle of an inkjet printing device to print dots on a recording medium. The activation pulses may be adapted based on sensor data with respect to already printed dots. The method and system can further include an automatic adaptation of the activation pulses to increase print quality even given the presence of soiling at the nozzle.
