Tire Reinforcing Ply
A passenger vehicle tire having hooping layer (71) that has a force at break FR per mm of axial width of the hooping layer at least equal to 35 daN/mm and has a secant extension modulus MA at least equal to 250 daN/mm, for an applied force F equal to 15% of FR. Working reinforcement (6) comprises a single working layer (61) the working reinforcers of which form, with the circumferential direction (YY), an angle A.sub.T at least equal to 30 and at most equal to 50. The carcass reinforcers of the at least one carcass layer (81) form, with the circumferential direction (YY) and in the equatorial plane (XZ), an angle A.sub.C2 at least equal to 55 and at most equal to 80 and having an orientation opposite of that of angle A.sub.T of the working reinforcers so that the carcass reinforcers and the working reinforcers constitute a triangulation.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire comprises a carcass layer, a belt layer disposed on an outer side of the carcass layer in a tire radial direction, and a tread rubber disposed on the outer side of the belt layer in the tire radial direction. The belt layer is formed by laminating a pair of cross belts having a belt angle, as an absolute value, of not less than 10 and not more than 45 and having a belt angles of mutually opposite signs, and a circumferential reinforcing layer having a belt angle within a range of 5 with respect to a tire circumferential direction. A tread width TW and a total tire width SW have a relationship such that 0.79TW/SW0.89.
PNEUMATIC TIRE, AND PNEUMATIC TIRE PRODUCTION METHOD
In a tire having a belt ply that is formed from ply strips arranged at intervals in the tire circumferential direction, in order to prevent deterioration in durability when high modulus organic fibers are used in a band cord, said tire is provided with a belt layer comprising a belt ply, and a band layer comprising a band ply positioned to the outside of the belt layer in the radial direction. The belt ply is formed by a plurality of ply strips, which are narrow and have a prescribed length, arranged side-by-side with intervals therebetween in the tire circumferential direction. The band ply is formed by a ply tape, which is narrow and long, wound spirally in the tire circumferential direction. The band cord comprises a composite cord in which first strands, which comprise high modulus organic fibers, and second strands, which comprise low modulus organic fibers and are narrower than the first strands, are twisted together.
Tire overlay composition
A tire comprising an overlay ply wherein (i) the shoulder section of the overlay comprises an elastomer and short polymeric or non-polymeric reinforcing fibers present in an amount of from 0.1 to 10 parts fiber per hundred parts of elastomer, the short fibers having a tenacity of at least 2 grams per dtex, a modulus of at least 10 grams per dtex and a length of from 0.1 to 8 mm and wherein the fibers are aligned substantially parallel to each other in a controlled angle of orientation within the overlay wherein the orientation is selected such that it decreases tire noise, and (ii) the section of overlay in the crown of the tire comprising cords of continuous filament polymeric fibers or continuous strands of metal or combinations thereof, the cords being aligned in a circumferential direction around the tire.
Pneumatic tire comprising specified hoop reinforcer element
The invention relates to a tyre (10) comprising a hooping ply (19) comprising at least one textile wire-like hoop reinforcer element making an angle strictly less than 10 with the circumferential direction (Z) of the tyre (10). The bonded textile wire-like reinforcer element has, before the step of production of the hooping ply (19), a tangent modulus less than or equal to 5 cN/tex/% for any elongation less than or equal to 3%. The textile wire-like hoop reinforcer element has, once extracted from the tyre (10), a tangent modulus greater than or equal to 5 cN/tex/% for any elongation greater than or equal to 4%.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion provided with a band layer disposed radially inside a tread rubber provided with a first circumferential groove. Cords of the band layer are a hybrid cord formed by twisting together a first filament and a second filament having an elastic modulus lower than that of the first filament. In a region radially inside the first circumferential groove, a maximum thickness t1 of topping rubber on the radially outer side of the band cords is not more than 1.0 mm; a minimum distance d1 from the bottom of the first circumferential groove to the radially outer surface of the band layer is not more than 2.0 mm; and a distance d2 from a groove edge of the first circumferential groove to the radially outer surface of the band layer is not more than 15.0 mm.
Tire comprising specified hooping ply
A tire (10) comprises a crown (12) comprising a tread (20), a crown reinforcement (14), a carcass reinforcement (32), two side walls (22), two beads (24), each side wall (22) linking each bead (24) to the crown (12), the crown reinforcement (14) extending in the crown (12) in a circumferential direction (Z) of the tire (10). The textile wire-like hoop reinforcer element (48), the wire-like working reinforcer elements (46) and the wire-like carcass reinforcer elements (44) are arranged so as to define, in projection on the equatorial circumferential plane (E), a triangular mesh. The textile wire-like hoop reinforcer element comprises a core composed of a first strand comprising at least one monofilament, and a layer comprising at least two second strands, each second strand comprising at least one monofilament, each second strand of the layer being helically wound around the core.
