A cord (50) comprises a single layer (52) of helically wound metal filamentary elements (54). The metal filamentary elements define an internal enclosure (58) of the cord of diameter Dv. Each metal filamentary element (54) has a diameter Df and a helix radius of curvature Rf. With Dv, Df and Rf being expressed in millimetres, the cord satisfies the following relationships: 9≤Rf/Df≤30 and 1.30≤Dv/Df≤2.10.

A pneumatic tire includes: a belt layer in which a belt cord is arranged; and a belt reinforcing layer in which an organic fiber cord is arranged, the belt reinforcing layer is formed by coating the organic fiber cord with rubber, and a ratio (Sr/Sc) of a rubber cross-sectional area (Sr) to a cord cross-sectional area (Sc) is 1.0 to 1.5, and a value obtained by dividing, by 1000, a sum of a product (A) of a load LASE5% (N) at 5% elongation of the organic fiber cord, a cord count (per 25 mm), and the number of belt reinforcing layers, and a product (B) of a load (N) at 0.5% elongation of the belt cord, cos θ in which a belt angle is defined as θ, a cord count (per inch), and the number of belt layers is 8.7 or more.
Polyester tire cord and radial tire using same
Disclosed is a radial tire having a cap ply manufactured with a polyethylene terephthalate dip cord. The radial tire includes: a pair of parallel bead cores; at least one radial carcass ply wound around the bead cores; one or more inclined belt layers layered on the outer circumference of the carcass ply; and one or more cap ply layers layered in the circumferential direction of a tire on the outer circumference of the inclined belt layers, wherein the cap ply includes a dip cord manufactured using a yarn comprising 90 mol % or more of polyethylene terephthalate, and the dip cord has a shrinkage of 3.0-4.0%, a strength of 2.5-3.0 g/d at an elongation of 5%, a breaking strength of 6.5-7.5 g/d, and a dimensional stability index of 5.8-6.5.
TIRE FOR TWO-WHEELED VEHICLE COMPRISING A HYBRID HOOPING REINFORCEMENT
A tire (10) for two-wheeled vehicles comprises a crown (12) comprising: a tread (20), and a hoop reinforcement (17) comprising at least one hooping ply (19) comprising one or more hoop reinforcing elements (44) comprising an assembly made up of a multifilament strand of aromatic polyamide or aromatic copolyamide (47) and of a multifilament strand of aliphatic polyamide (48). The twist factor K of the hoop reinforcing element (44) ranges from 5.5 to 6.5. The tire (10) is obtained by a method comprising a step of manufacturing the hooping ply (19), in which the bonded reinforcing elements (44) are embedded in a polymer composition in order to form the uncured hooping ply, the equivalent initial tensile modulus of the uncured hooping ply ranging from 330 to 620 cN/tex/dm.
HIGHLY COMPRESSIBLE OPEN CORD
The subject of the invention is a cord (50) comprising a single layer (52) of helically wound metal filamentary elements (54). The metal filamentary elements define an internal enclosure (58) of the cord of diameter Dv. Each metal filamentary element (54) has a diameter Df and a helix radius of curvature Rf.
With Dv, Df and Rf being expressed in millimetres, the cord satisfies the following relationships:
9≤Rf/Df≤30, and

Pneumatic vehicle tire of radial type of construction, in particular a commercial vehicle tire, having a belt assembly (3) made up of at least three plies (8, 9, 10), namely two working plies (8, 9) and a protective ply (10) arranged radially on the outside with respect to the working plies (8, 9), wherein the protective ply (10) has reinforcing members (11) made up of one or more twisted-together steel filaments (12), wherein the steel of the steel filaments (12) of the reinforcing members (11) of the protective ply (10) can be assigned to the strength class ST or to a higher strength class, wherein the strength class ST has a tensile strength in MPa of 3980-2000 d and the strength class UT has a tensile strength in MPa of 4400-2000 d, wherein d is the diameter of a steel filament in mm.
TEXTILE CORD AND A TIRE COMPRISING A TEXTILE CORD REINFORCEMENT
This invention relates to a passenger car tire comprising a carcass having at least one carcass ply, a tread disposed radially outward of a crown region of the carcass, a belt with a plurality of belt plies arranged between the carcass and the tread, and an overlay structure covering the belt and comprising a helically wound overlay ply strip reinforced by at least one textile cord. The cord comprises from 6 to 10 polyamide monofilament plies having each a density from 300 to 470 dtex, wherein the monofilament plies are twisted together by between 1 and 2 twists per inch to form the cord.
TIRE AND A RUBBER PLY FOR A TIRE
The present invention is directed to a rubber ply for a tire, the rubber ply comprising pairs of textile cords arranged in parallel in a plane, wherein each cord of the pairs of textile cords comprises two cord plies. The distance between two adjacent pairs of textile cords (d.sub.p) is at least 5 times larger than the distance between two parallel textile cords (d.sub.i) within a pair of textile cords, and wherein the two cord plies in one or more of the textile cords are twisted together in a range from 8 TPI to 12 TPI and have each a density ranging from 500 dtex to 2000 dtex. The present invention is also directed to a tire comprising such a rubber ply which is particularly applicable and beneficial for utilization in motorcycle tires.
MOTORCYCLE TYRE
A motorcycle tyre includes a tread portion, a pair of bead portions, a toroidal carcass extending between the pair of bead portions, and a band layer disposed outward in a tyre radial direction of the carcass and inside the tread portion. The band layer includes a band ply having one or more steel cords spirally wound in a tyre circumferential direction. The tyre has a parameter (A) in which a load index LI (kg) of the tyre is divided by a bending/compression stiffness ratio that is obtained by dividing a bending stiffness (g.Math.cm) of the steel cords by a compression stiffness (N/mm) of the steel cords being in a range of 1500 to 6000.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion; sidewall portions; bead portions; a carcass layer disposed extending between the pair of bead portions; a belt layer of a plurality of layers disposed on an outer circumferential side of the carcass layer in the tread portion; and a band-like noise absorbing member adhered to a region corresponding to a tire inner surface of the tread portion along the tire circumferential direction interposed by an adhesive layer. The pneumatic tire further includes a belt cover layer being disposed on an outer circumferential side of the belt layer across an entire width of the belt layer, the belt cover layer including organic fiber cords arranged in the tire circumferential direction; and a rate of change of a dynamic loaded radius when traveling at 270 km/h with respect to a dynamic loaded radius when traveling at 30 km/h being restricted to 2.0% or less.
