Tire With Improved Wet Grip In A Part-Worn State
A tire comprising a tread comprising a plurality of main grooves (1) arranged on each side of a midplane X-X′, each of these main grooves (1) opening axially to the outside of the tread and extending axially towards the midplane X-X′ so that the plurality of main grooves forms a pattern in the overall shape of a V. Above and beyond a determined certain degree of wear, at least one additional groove (3) appears between two circumferentially adjacent main grooves (N−1, N), the additional groove running parallel overall to the main grooves (N−1, N).
Tire
A tire comprises a tread portion whose position when mounted on a vehicle is specified. The tread portion includes an inner crown land region defined between a crown main groove and an inner shoulder main groove. The inner crown land region includes crown lateral grooves, first inner crown sipes, second inner crown sipes each extending from the inner shoulder main groove toward the crown main groove and having an inner end terminating within the inner crown land region, and third inner crown sipes each extending from the crown main groove toward the inner shoulder main groove and having an outer end terminating within the inner crown land region. The crown lateral grooves each have a length in a tire axial direction larger than that of each of the second inner crown sipes.
Pneumatic tire
A rib-like land section partitioned by main grooves, a plurality of sub-grooves provided in the rib-like land section at intervals in the tire circumferential direction and a groove hole provided between the sub-grooves adjacent to each other and extending in the tire circumferential direction are provided in a tread section. The sub-groove includes a lateral groove portion, in which one end opens to the main groove and the other end terminates inside the rib-like land section, and a longitudinal groove portion extending from the other end of the lateral groove portion to one side in the tire circumferential direction and terminating inside the rib-like land section. The groove hole is formed so that a groove depth at one end part close to a terminal end of the longitudinal groove portion becomes shallower than a groove depth at the other end part far from the terminal end.
Tire
A tire includes a tread portion being divided into four land portions by one circumferentially extending crown main groove and two circumferentially extending shoulder main grooves arranged one on each side of the crown main groove. The four land portions include two crown land portions disposed one on each side of the crown main groove. Each of the crown land portions is provided with first crown lateral grooves each extending from the crown main groove and terminating within the crown land portion and second crown lateral grooves each extending from the adjacent shoulder main groove and terminating within the crown land portion. In each of the crown land portion, the first crown lateral grooves and the second crown lateral grooves extend at least to an axial center location of the crown land portions.
Pneumatic Tire
In a pneumatic tire, among land portions located on both sides of a center circumferential main groove, a first land portion includes a first circumferential narrow groove, and a second land portion includes a second circumferential narrow groove; among regions defined by the first circumferential narrow groove in the first land portion, a side adjacent to the center circumferential main groove is defined as a first-land-portion first region, and the other side is defined as a first-land-portion second region; among regions defined by the second circumferential narrow groove in the second land portion, a side adjacent to the center circumferential main groove is defined as a second-land-portion first region, and the other side is defined as a second-land-portion second region; the first-land-portion first region and the second-land-portion first region have plane regions; and lateral grooves are formed in the first-land-portion second region and the second-land-portion second region.
Siped tread for off-road tire
Tread (10) for a tire of an off-road vehicle. Total width Wt of the tread is greater than 600 mm and has at least three circumferential main grooves (1, 2, 3, 4) at least 60 mm deep that divide the tread into intermediate ribs (51, 52, 53) and edge ribs (8). The edge ribs have a width≤0.25 Wt. At least one of the intermediate ribs (51, 52, 53) has fine grooves (61, 62, 63) of depth H1 delimiting blades of material (71, 72, 73) of mean width B1<2H1. Grooves (61, 62, 63) are oriented in the axial direction of the tire. Each intermediate rib (51, 52, 53) has a mean width≤0.25 Wt and ≥0.75 Ht (thickness of material to be worn away). Grooves, (61, 62, 63) have, over a height H12 at least equal to 65% of H1, a width≤ to the value obtained from 0.04√{square root over (B1.Math.H1)}.
TIRE
In a tire, a shape index of a reference ground contact surface is not less than 1.20 and not greater than 1.50. In the tire, a tread includes a cap layer, an intermediate layer formed such that a loss tangent of the intermediate layer at 30° C. is less than a loss tangent of the cap layer at 30° C. and a base layer formed such that a loss tangent of the base layer at 30° C. is less than the loss tangent of the intermediate layer at 30° C. In the radial direction, the intermediate layer is disposed outwardly of the base layer and the cap layer is disposed outwardly of the intermediate layer. In a shoulder land portion of the tread, a thickness of the cap layer at a center of an axial width is less than a thickness of the cap layer on the shoulder circumferential groove side.
