A pneumatic tire includes alternating first and second groove portions. The first groove portion intersects an equator and extends in a width direction. The second groove portion inclines from the first groove portion to a tread edge at a smaller angle relative to a circumferential direction than an angle of the first groove portion relative to the circumferential direction. The first groove portion communicates with the second groove portion of the lug groove adjacent in the circumferential direction. The first groove portion is on a stepping side of each lug groove. The second groove portions are curved or bent and an average angle of the second groove portions in an inner region is smaller than in an outer region. Shallow grooves having a bent point are formed on blocks. The blocks are defined by circumferential narrow grooves connecting the second groove portions adjacent in the circumferential direction and the lug grooves.

Tire

A tire includes a tread portion including first to third main grooves continuously extending in a tire circumferential direction. The first main groove has a groove centerline arranged on a side of the inboard tread edge with respect to a tire equator and the groove centerline is located at an axial distance L1 from the tire equator of from 5% to 25% of a tread half width. The second main groove is arranged between the first main groove and the inboard tread edge and has a groove centerline located at an axial distance L2 from the tire equator of from 35% to 65% of the tread half width. The third main groove is arranged between the tire equator and the outboard tread edge and has a groove centerline located at an axial distance L3 from the tire equator of from 25% to 55% of the tread half width.

A pneumatic tire comprises a plurality of main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction, and a plurality of land portions that are partitioned by at least one contact patch end and the plurality of main grooves, at least one of the plurality of land portions comprises a circumferentially oriented sipe extending in a tire circumferential direction, and a plurality of width-oriented sipes extending in such fashion as to intersect the circumferentially oriented sipe, and wherein depth of the circumferentially oriented sipe is less than depths of the plurality of width-oriented sipes.

Pneumatic tire

A ratio between the total width (SW) and outer diameter (OD) of a pneumatic tire, which has an asymmetrical pattern formed by grooves formed on a tread part, satisfies SW/OD≤0.3. Given a ground contact width (CW) in a ground contact region in the tread part, a groove area ratio (GR), and a groove area ratio (GRi) of a tire inner side region (Ai), which spans from a tire equator line (CL) to the vehicle side in the ground contact region, and a groove area ratio (GRo) of a tire outer side region (Ao), which spans from the tire equator line to the opposite side of the vehicle side in the ground contact region, the ground contact region is formed to satisfy 0.75≤CW/SW≤0.9, 10≤GR≤25%, and GRi<GRo.
