The present invention aims to provide tire rubber composition with significantly improved overall performance in terms of wet grip performance and fuel economy, and pneumatic tires including the rubber compositions. The tire rubber compositions of the present invention have a tan δ versus temperature curve whose peak tan δ and half width satisfy the following relationship (1): Peak tan δ/Half width ≥ 0.025 (1).
TIRE
A tire 2 includes a tread 4 and a belt 14 including inner and outer layers 38 and 40. Each end of the outer layer 40 is located axially inward of an end of the inner layer 38. A circumferential narrow groove 48 is formed on each shoulder land portion 46s so as to continuously extend in a circumferential direction. A groove width of the circumferential narrow groove 48 is smaller than that of a shoulder circumferential groove 44s. The circumferential narrow groove 48 is located between the shoulder circumferential groove 44s and the end of the outer layer 40 in an axial direction. A ratio of a distance in the axial direction from the shoulder circumferential groove 44s to the circumferential narrow groove 48 to a distance in the axial direction from the shoulder circumferential groove 44s to the end of the outer layer 40 is 15% to 55%.
Tire
A tire includes a tread portion provided with a plurality of blocks. At least one of the plurality of blocks is provided with a sipe. The sipe extends in a sipe longitudinal direction to form a zigzag opening configuration on a ground contact surface of the at least one of the plurality of blocks. The sipe extends inwardly in a tire radial direction such that the zigzag opening configuration oscillates in the sipe longitudinal direction repeatedly with a total amplitude and a wavelength while maintaining the zigzag opening configuration. A half of the wavelength of the sipe is in a range of from 0.10 to 0.24 times a maximum depth of the sipe, and a slope of the half of the wavelength with respect to the total amplitude has an angle in a range of from 45 to 65 degrees.
PNEUMATIC RADIAL TIRE FOR PASSENGER CARS
Provided is a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car that exhibits both riding comfort at low temperatures and stealing stability at high-speed running. The present invention is a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car, in which: a carcass and a tread are provided; the tread is integrated into a standardized rim; when internal pressure is at a standardized internal pressure, the tire has a cross-sectional width Wt (mm) and an outer diameter Dt (mm) satisfying 1963.4≤(Dt.sup.2π/4)/Wt≤2827.4; the tread comprises at least one main groove in a running surface of the tread, extending in the circumferential direction of the tread; the land/sea ratio at the tread running surface is greater than 55% and less than 85%; and a rubber composition that forms the tread has a loss tangent (tan δ) which, when measured at a frequency of 10 Hz, an initial strain of 2%, and a dynamic strain rate of 1%, is such that |20° C. tan δ-50° C. tan δ| is at least 0.01 and less than 0.15, and 15° C. tan δ-20° C. tan δ| is greater than 0.15 and less than 0.70.
TIRE
A tire 1 comprises a tread portion 2 provided with an outer shoulder main groove 3 in a part closest to an outside tread edge (To) and an outer crown main groove 4 on a side of an inside tread edge (Ti) of the outer shoulder main groove 3 both extending continuously in the tire circumferential direction, and outer transverse grooves 9 connecting between the outside tread edge (To) and the outer crown main groove 4 so that an outer shoulder land region 7A is defined between the outside tread edge (To) and the outer shoulder main groove 3 and an outer middle land region 7B is defined between the outer shoulder main groove 3 and the outer crown main groove 4. A maximum axial width Ws of the outer shoulder land region 7A is larger than a maximum axial width Wm of the outer middle land region 7B.
TIRE
A tire includes a first circumferential main groove 11 and a second circumferential main groove 12 in a tread surface 1. A resonator 21 is formed in an intermediate land portion 20 partitioned between the first circumferential main groove and the second circumferential main groove. The resonator has an auxiliary groove 211 whose both ends terminate within the intermediate land portion. The groove depths D1 of the first and second circumferential main grooves are 50% or less of the groove widths W2 of the first and second circumferential main grooves, respectively. The groove depth D3 of the auxiliary groove of the resonator is 70% or more of the groove depth D1 of the first circumferential main groove.
TIRE
In a tire, a main groove is formed in a step shape including circumferential extending portions extending in a circumferential direction at positions where positions in a width direction differ. Inclination directions of a second lug groove and a shoulder lug groove in the circumferential direction with respect to the width direction are opposite to one another. In the second lug grooves, two types of the second lug grooves having differentinclination angles with respect to the width direction are alternately disposed. The second lug groove opens to the circumferential extending portion located close to the second lug groove among the circumferential extending portions included in respective center and shoulder main grooves formed in step shapes. A shoulder lug groove opens to the circumferential extending portion located close to the shoulder lug groove among the circumferential extending portions included in the shoulder main groove formed in the step shape.
