A pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion 2 having an outside tread edge Teo and an inside tread edge Tei to be positioned outside and inside, respectively, with respect to a vehicle. The tread portion 2 is axially divided into land regions 4 by four main grooves 3 including an outside shoulder main groove 5, an inside shoulder main groove 6 and two crown main grooves 7. The outside shoulder main groove 5 has a width smaller than the inside shoulder main groove 6 and the crown main grooves 7. The land portions 4 include an inside shoulder land region 10 provided with inside shoulder lateral grooves 17. Each of the land regions 4 is provided with sipes 20 each extending across the entire width of the land region and having a width less than 3 mm.

In at least outermost side circumferential grooves on outermost sides in a tire widthwise direction among a plurality of circumferential grooves of a tread, a plurality of ridge portions are formed in a spaced relation with each other in a tire circumferential direction such that the plurality of ridge portions project from a groove bottom of the outermost side circumferential grooves and cross the outermost side circumferential grooves, and at least one of the widthwise grooves on the shoulder land portions in shoulder regions among the plurality of land portions partitioned by the circumferential grooves has, on a groove bottom thereof, a widened groove portion having an increased groove width. Therefore, the pneumatic tire in which the shoulder land portions at which the tread is most deformable and most liable to generate heat can be cooled effectively to suppress the temperature rise.

A pneumatic tire includes, on a tread surface, a plurality of circumferential main grooves extending in the tread circumferential direction, and a plurality of land portions each defined between circumferential main grooves adjacent in the tread width direction among the plurality of circumferential main grooves, or by a circumferential main groove and a tread edge. A widthwise groove (widthwise sipe) (circumferential sipe) includes a widened portion, on the groove bottom side (sipe bottom side), at which the groove width (sipe width) is larger than on the tread surface side.

The storage modulus of tread rubber located in a tire radial direction region including at least a reference depth position is larger than a storage modulus of tread rubber located in regions inward and outward in the tire radial direction from the tire radial direction region.

In a tire radial direction region including at least a reference depth position, the storage modulus of first tread rubber, which is a groove wall surface layer defined by the widened portion and covering at least part of the widened portion, is larger than the storage modulus of second tread rubber located in a region around the first tread rubber.

Tire

A tire comprises a tread portion whose position when mounted on a vehicle is specified. The tread portion includes an inner crown land region defined between a crown main groove and an inner shoulder main groove. The inner crown land region includes crown lateral grooves, first inner crown sipes, second inner crown sipes each extending from the inner shoulder main groove toward the crown main groove and having an inner end terminating within the inner crown land region, and third inner crown sipes each extending from the crown main groove toward the inner shoulder main groove and having an outer end terminating within the inner crown land region. The crown lateral grooves each have a length in a tire axial direction larger than that of each of the second inner crown sipes.

A pneumatic tire includes fins disposed on sidewall surfaces of blocks and extending in a tire circumferential direction. Further, a plane is local and is defined to include a ground contact edge of the first and second blocks and an arc connecting opening end portions of three lug grooves defining the first and second blocks. At this time, the fins of the first and second blocks extend sidewalls of the lug grooves further toward an outer side in a tire width direction than the plane via one circumferential edge portions of the blocks. Furthermore, the projection amount of the fins with respect to the plane tapers from the one circumferential edge portions toward other circumferential edge portions of the blocks.

A tire includes a tread portion that includes a first circumferential groove and a first land portion. A groove bottom portion of the first circumferential groove includes a groove bottom reference surface and a plurality of projections projecting outwardly in a tire radial direction from the groove bottom reference surface. The first land portion has at least one first lateral groove extending from the first circumferential groove and terminating within the first land portion. In a tread plan view, an entirety of a first lateral groove extension region obtained by extending a connection portion of the first lateral groove at the first circumferential groove to the groove bottom portion of the first circumferential groove so as to be parallel to a tire axial direction is formed on the groove bottom reference surface.

A main object is to provide a tire that suppresses snow clogging of sipes. The tire includes a tread portion. The tread portion includes a first land portion demarcated by circumferential grooves continuously extending in a tire circumferential direction, and a plurality of first lateral grooves inclined in a first direction relative to a tire axial direction and traversing the first land portion. The first land portion includes a plurality of first blocks demarcated by the first lateral grooves. Each first block has at least one sipe inclined in a second direction opposite to the first direction, relative to the tire axial direction. The sipe includes a portion deeper than a maximum depth of the first lateral groove, and a portion shallower than the maximum depth of the first lateral groove.
