A tire includes a plurality of land portions defined by a plurality of circumferential grooves, and each of the plurality of land portions has a plurality of lateral grooves crossing the land portion. Each of the plurality of lateral grooves is made up of a center region extending at an angle of inclination relative to a tread width direction and side regions extending at a smaller angle of inclination relative to the tread width direction than the center region, the side regions increasing in groove width toward the respective circumferential grooves. Each of the plurality of lateral grooves has a sipe having, only in the center region, a shallow portion with a smaller depth, the shallow portion being located at least near a boundary part between the center region and each of the side regions with a starting point of the shallow portion being apart from the boundary part.

TYRE

A tyre includes a tread portion including an outboard middle land portion disposed between an outboard tread edge and a tyre equator. The outboard middle land portion includes first and second longitudinal edges, outboard middle lateral grooves extending from the first longitudinal edge and having terminal ends within the outboard middle land portion, first outboard middle sipes extending from the respective terminal ends of the outboard middle lateral grooves to the second longitudinal edge, and second outboard middle sipes extending from the first longitudinal edge toward the second longitudinal edge beyond the terminal ends of the outboard middle lateral grooves and terminating within the outboard middle land portion. The outboard middle land portion is not provided with any lateral grooves that extend from the second longitudinal edge toward the first longitudinal edge to reach an axial center location of the outboard middle land portion.

PNEUMATIC TIRE, AND RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE

The present invention provides a pneumatic tire and a rubber composition for tires, which have improved durability at high temperatures and during high-speed running while ensuring good ice performance. The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire, including a tread, the tread including blocks having an average ripe density of 1.0 cm/cm.sup.2 or higher and an average height of 0.6 to 2.0 cm, the blocks containing a rubber composition having a tan at 100 C. of 0.179 or less as determined at an initial strain of 10%, a dynamic strain of 2%, and a frequency of 10 Hz, and has a ratio of the modulus at 100 C. to the modulus at room temperature of 69% or greater as determined in accordance with JIS K6251:2010.

Car tyre

A car tire having a tread that extends in axial direction for a width the tread including a central portion arranged across an equatorial plane, and two lateral portions opposed with respect to the central portion. The central portion is separated from the lateral portions of the tread by two circumferential grooves. The circumferential grooves have a width greater than about 6 mm. The central portion extends in axial direction for a width less than 20% of the width of the tread and includes a plurality of first sipes. Each lateral portion has a width greater than 30% of the width of the tread, and each lateral portion includes, furthermore, a plurality of transversal grooves. The transversal grooves of a lateral portion include at least a first inclined length that extends from a zone proximal to the respective circumferential grooves, moving away from the equatorial plane. The first inclined length has an inclination 60 with respect to equatorial plane. Each lateral portion includes a plurality of sipes. The density of the sipes decreases moving away from the equatorial plane.
