The lower suspension arm is pivotally coupled to the vehicle frame about first and second lower pivot points. The sway bar is attached to the upper suspension arm and located above the upper suspension arm. The rack and pinion steering arranged between the upper and lower suspension arms. The rack and pinion steering is located adjacent the second upper pivot point and between the first and second upper pivot points with respect to a longitudinal vehicle direction.

Bushing assembly for a stabilizer bar of a vehicle

A bushing assembly for a stabilizer bar in a vehicle includes a split ring defining a passageway engaging with an outer surface of the stabilizer bar, an outer diameter surface, a first split ring end, a second split ring end, and at least one axial retention flange disposed at either the first split ring end or the second split ring end. The bushing assembly includes an elastomer bushing defining an inner diameter, an outer diameter, a first bushing end, a second bushing end, a first axial flange disposed at the first bushing end, and a second axial flange at the second bushing end. At least one of the first axial flange and the second axial flange abut against the at least one axial retention flange of the split ring to create a zero clearance condition. The bushing assembly also includes a strap clamp securing the bushing assembly to the vehicle.

Bush for stabilizer

A bush for a stabilizer is configured so that surface pressure at an adhered surface of a hole of the bush is uniform in adhering the bush to a bar of the stabilizer, whereby necessary adhesive strength is obtained. A bush has a body part that includes a rectangular part with a rectangular shape and a curving part having a curved shape at an outer circumferential part thereof. The body part has a side surface part on which a protruding part is formed so as to protrude outwardly. When contained in a U-shaped part of a bracket shown in FIG. 3B, the rectangular part is arranged at a straight line part of the U-shaped part, the curving part is arranged at a circular arc part of the U-shaped part, and the protruding part is pressed toward the body part by an inner surface of the U-shaped part.

A link arm member of the present invention is used in a vehicle for connecting a suspension and a stabilizer, and includes: a support bar that is sealed by plastically deforming a hollow metal pipe at both ends thereof; and a housing part made of resin that is arranged at each end of the support bar and has a receiving hole for receiving a ball part of a ball stud to which the suspension or the stabilizer is fixed, wherein the housing part is formed by insert molding with the support bar.

Motor Vehicle Wheel Suspension

A wheel suspension for a motor vehicle including a wheel carrier supporting a wheel. The wheel carrier connected via at least one upper camber link, a lower control arm, and a lateral toe link to the vehicle body or subframe. A stabilizer rod connects to the wheel carrier. The wheel suspension including a damper unit and a spring unit wherein the stabilizer rod and the damper unit connect to the wheel carrier at a common connecting point.

CONNECTING ARRANGEMENT FOR A STABILIZER OF A VEHICLE

A connecting arrangement for a stabilizer of a vehicle, with at least one lever that extends transversely to a longitudinal direction. The lever has a bearing eye provided with a non-circular inner circumferential contour. A torsion-bar spring with a rotation axis extends in the longitudinal direction. The torsion-bar spring has an outer circumferential contour, at least at one end, that matches the inner circumferential contour of the bearing eye and which fits into the bearing eye. The wall of the bearing eye is cut through by at least one slit extending in the longitudinal direction, by which two opposite wall sections of the wall are separated from one another. The two wall sections are pressed against the non-circular outer circumferential contour of the torsion-bar spring by at least one releasable clamping element.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A STABILIZER BAR WITH A RUBBER BUSH

Provided is a method of manufacturing a stabilizer bar with a rubber bush including manufacturing a rubber bush without an intermediate plate by subjecting a rubber composition containing butadiene rubber and natural rubber as a polymer to vulcanization molding; applying a thermosetting adhesive onto at least one of an inner peripheral surface of the rubber bush and an outer peripheral surface of the stabilizer bar, to thereby form a thermosetting adhesive layer; inserting and fitting the stabilizer bar into the rubber bush; holding the rubber bush with a fixing jig such that the rubber bush is compressed at a rate of 0% to 5%, at 25° C., in a direction of the stabilizer bar fitted into the rubber bush; and heating the rubber bush in the state to cure the thermosetting adhesive, to thereby bond and fix the rubber bush onto the stabilizer bar.
