Methods and systems for providing de-icing a heat pump exchanger and heating a vehicle cabin are presented. In one example, a climate control system that experiences icing of the exterior heat exchanger may be operated in a first mode where thermal energy from the energy storage device is used to de-ice and also heat the cabin.

Vehicle heat management system

A vehicle heat management system is provided. The system includes a radiator module having a battery radiator and an electric component radiator. A valve module has an inner space that is divided into a first chamber and a second chamber. Each chamber includes a first passage, a second passage, and a third passage. The first passage connects each chamber to a battery radiator, the second passage connects each chamber to a high-voltage battery core, and the third chamber connects each chamber to an electric component radiator and an electric component core. Each chamber includes therein a guide unit that selectively closes the first passage, the second passage, or the third passage depending on a rotation angle thereof. An actuator that is connected to the guide unit adjusts the rotation angle of the guide unit.

An air conditioner includes an inside condenser, an outside heat exchanger, an inside evaporator, a refrigerant circuit switcher, and an air passage switcher. The refrigerant circuit switcher is configured to switch a layout of the refrigerant circuit to (i) a first circuit during a heating mode such that the refrigerant releases heat at the inside condenser and is decompressed to evaporate at the outside heat exchanger and (ii) a second circuit during a defrosting mode such that the refrigerant releases heat at the outside heat exchanger and is decompressed to evaporate at the inside evaporator. The air passage switcher is configured to switch the air passage to (i) a first passage during the heating mode such that the air passes through the inside evaporator and the inside condenser and (ii) a second passage during the defrosting mode such that the air bypasses the inside condenser.

A heating and cooling system for a vehicle may include: a refrigerant line provided to pass through a compressor, an interior heat exchanger for interior air-conditioning, an air-cooled condenser, and an evaporator core for interior air-conditioning, the refrigerant line configured such that a refrigerant flows therethrough; a coolant line provided to pass through a high-voltage battery core, an electric part core for an electric part, and a radiator for the electric part, the coolant line configured such that a coolant flows therethrough; and a heat exchanging part configured to exchange heat between the refrigerant flowing between the interior heat exchanger and the air-cooled condenser, and the coolant flowing between the electric part core and the radiator.

A vehicle-mounted temperature controller includes a first heat circuit and a refrigeration circuit. The first heat circuit has a battery heat exchange part exchanging heat with a battery and a first heat exchange part, and configured so that a first heat medium circulates therethrough. The refrigeration circuit has a compression part compressing a refrigerant to raise its temperature, a second heat exchange part radiating heat from the refrigerant, an expansion part making the refrigerant expand, and the first heat exchange part making the refrigerant absorb heat from the first heat medium to make the refrigerant evaporate, and is configured to realize a refrigeration cycle by the refrigerant circulating therethrough. The first heat circuit includes a bypass flow path bypassing the battery heat exchange part and an adjusting device adjusting a flow rate of the first heat medium flowing through the bypass flow path. The adjusting device is controlled so that a ratio of a flow rate of the first heat medium flowing through the bypass flow path becomes greater, when the temperature of the battery is relatively low, compared to when it is relatively high.

The vehicular air conditioning is capable of implementing a quick warming of the in-vehicle device without impairing the heating feeling of occupant.
