Vehicle door assembly with an organosheet door module carrier reinforcing a sill region
A vehicle door assembly, having a first frame component including a window frame for a window opening and two opposing lateral frame for defining a frame cut-out and forming a sill portion connecting the two lateral frame portions to one another, a second frame component for strengthening the window frame, the second frame component fixed on the first frame component, and a door module carrier formed from an organosheet and at least partially closes the frame cut-out. The door module carrier forming an edge portion fixed to the sill portion in a longitudinal direction of the sill portion. The organosheet is a supporting structural component and an edge portion thereof is reinforced by a reinforcing structure injection-moulded onto the organosheet and the edge portion thereof strengthens the sill portion of the first frame component where no portion of the second frame component is provided.
VEHICLE DOOR STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A vehicle door structure includes a mirror retainer having a main body, which is joined to the front end of an outer reinforcement with a part of the main body overlapping with the outer reinforcement. The mirror retainer includes an upper leg, which has a first facing surface facing a lower leg and is joined to the inner panel. The lower leg has a second facing surface facing the upper leg and is joined to the inner panel. A reinforcing member is connected to the first facing surface and at least one of a main body inner surface and the second facing surface so as to reinforce the mirror retainer.
UPPER REINFORCEMENT FOR A DOOR TRIM PANEL AND METHOD OF TUNING PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS THEREOF
An upper reinforcement for a door trim panel includes a reinforcement channel, softening features within reinforcement channel, a tab depending from the reinforcement channel, and a trigger feature between the reinforcement channel and the tab whereby the reinforcement channel is released from the tab during a side impact. A method of tuning performance characteristics of the upper reinforcement is also described.
Vehicle door assembly
A vehicle door assembly includes inner and outer door panels, first and second support brackets, a reinforcing panel, a window opening support panel and a side mirror assembly. The first support bracket is attached to the inner door panel. The reinforcing panel is attached to the first support bracket. The second support panel attached to the first support panel and the reinforcing panel. The window opening support panel is attached to the inner door panel, the second support panel and the reinforcing panel. The outer door panel is fixed to the inner door panel such that the inner door panel and the outer door panel define a door cavity therebetween. The side mirror assembly is installed along an exterior side of the outer door panel. The side mirror assembly includes fasteners that extend through the window opening support panel and the second support panel.
Vehicle door
A vehicle door includes a door box with first and second walls and a second wall and a window frame module, in which a window frame, a first window shaft reinforcement and a second window shaft reinforcement are connected into a structural unit. The first window shaft reinforcement features a groove that accommodates an upper edge of the first wall. An upper edge of the second wall is covered by the second window shaft reinforcement.
COMPOSITE VEHICLE DOOR COMPONENTS FORMED BY SHEET MOLDING COMPOUND-RESIN TRANSFER MOLDING ASSEMBLIES
A lightweight and simplified vehicle door assembly is provided with four main components, an upper frame positioned about the window, an inner frame structure, an outer body panel, and a composite reinforcement component. The composite reinforcement component provides an all-in-one solution for a side impact cross beam, as well as an upper door reinforcement, a front door pillar reinforcement, and a rear door pillar reinforcement. The composite reinforcement component acts to reinforce the overall door structure, offers resistance to a side impact that limits the intrusion into the passenger compartment, and offers resistance to a frontal impact by maintaining the spacing between the vehicle A and B pillars (for a front door) and pillar C and D for a back door. A coupe vehicle door in which there is no window frame may be reinforced with the composite reinforcement component. The composite reinforcement component may have continuous or chopped fibers.
Door structure of automotive vehicle and assembly method of the same
Guide rails with which a window regulator is provided are respectively fixed to a module plate. The guide rails are fixed, together with the module plate, to an edge of an opening portion provided at inward frames from an outward side in a vehicle width direction. Attachment portions which are capable of afterward attaching outward frames to the inward frames are provided, and attachment portions which are capable of afterward attaching a door outer panel to a door frame comprising the inward frames and the outward frames are provided.
VEHICULAR DOOR
A vehicular door includes a resin outer panel and a resin inner panel mounted on a vehicular interior side of the resin outer panel, and the resin inner panel includes a resin body member that configures an interior design surface of the vehicular door and a resin reinforcing member that is arranged on a vehicular exterior side and on a peripheral portion of the resin body member.
VEHICULAR DOOR
A vehicular door includes an outer panel, an inner panel mounted on a vehicular interior side of the outer panel and configuring a vehicular interior design surface of the vehicular door, a functional component, a driving component driving the functional component and mounted on a vehicular exterior surface side of the inner panel, and a switch configured to activate the driving component to exert a function of the functional component and mounted on a vehicular interior surface side of the inner panel.
Vehicle door structure
A vehicle door structure includes: a metal door outer panel that includes an outermost design surface of a vehicle door; a metal annular reinforcement that (i) is provided at a door inner side of the door outer panel, (ii) has an annular shape so as to extend along an outer peripheral portion of the door outer panel, and (iii) is joined to the outer peripheral portion of the door outer panel; at least one reinforcing member that extends in a door longitudinal direction and that is joined to the annular reinforcement; and a fiber-reinforced door inner panel that is provided at a door inner side of the annular reinforcement, and is fastened to the annular reinforcement.
