VEHICLE DOOR
A vehicle door includes a beam, an inner panel, a lever lock bracket, and a beam bracket. The beam extends inside the vehicle door in a front-rear direction of a vehicle. The inner panel includes an inner plate. The lever lock bracket is configured to restrict an operation of the door latch mechanism when contact from a side of the vehicle occurs. The beam bracket includes a front vertical wall surface and a rear vertical wall surface. The lever lock bracket is disposed on a vehicle front side of the beam bracket. The rear vertical wall surface of the beam bracket is provided toward an outer side in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle. The front vertical wall surface of the beam bracket includes an inclined surface inclined on the vehicle front side toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction.
Vehicle back door
A vehicle back door main body includes (1) an outer upper panel made of carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic that is joined to an upper portion of an inner panel made of carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic, and (2) an outer lower panel made of a resin that is weaker than the carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic and that is joined to a lower portion of the inner panel. A first portion of the inner panel is reinforced by the outer upper panel. A second portion of the inner panel has a lower strength than the first portion. A boundary between the first and second portions, at which there is a strength difference, is located adjacent to a small window opening in the vehicle back door.
COMPOSITE VEHICLE DOOR COMPONENTS FORMED BY SHEET MOLDING COMPOUND-RESIN TRANSFER MOLDING ASSEMBLIES
A lightweight and simplified vehicle door assembly is provided with four main components, an upper frame positioned about the window, an inner frame structure, an outer body panel, and a composite reinforcement component. The composite reinforcement component provides an all-in-one solution for a side impact cross beam, as well as an upper door reinforcement, a front door pillar reinforcement, and a rear door pillar reinforcement. The composite reinforcement component acts to reinforce the overall door structure, offers resistance to a side impact that limits the intrusion into the passenger compartment, and offers resistance to a frontal impact by maintaining the spacing between the vehicle A and B pillars (for a front door) and pillar C and D for a back door. A coupe vehicle door in which there is no window frame may be reinforced with the composite reinforcement component. The composite reinforcement component may have continuous or chopped fibers.
RESIN BACK DOOR FOR VEHICLE
Provided is a resin back door for a hatchback vehicle including a resin inner panel, a resin outer panel, and a lower-side reinforcing member made of metal extending in a vehicle width direction to be fixed to a lower side portion of the inner panel. The lower-side reinforcing member is locked to a vehicle lower structure via a door lock mechanism when the resin back door is closed.
Intermediate shell for a motor vehicle door, method for producing an intermediate shell, and a door for a motor vehicle
An intermediate shell for a motor vehicle door, in particular a side door of a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The intermediate shell is produced at least in regions from a light metal blank by massive forming, preferably by forging.
Cover device for a retaining jaws module
A cover device, includes a movable cover configured to cover retaining jaws of a retaining jaws module; a retaining cover connected to a side wall frame of a vehicle body and configured to enclose in the shape of a U an insertion end side of a retaining jaws module for insertion of a striker plate module to releasably couple with the retaining jaws module so as to connect a vehicle door with the side wall frame, and adjacent longitudinal sides of the retaining jaws module in transverse direction of the vehicle; and a rubber lip configured to elastically connect the retaining cover to the retaining jaws module and to compensate for tolerance compensation.
Vehicle door structure
A vehicle door structure includes: a metal door outer panel that includes an outermost design surface of a vehicle door; a metal annular reinforcement that (i) is provided at a door inner side of the door outer panel, (ii) has an annular shape so as to extend along an outer peripheral portion of the door outer panel, and (iii) is joined to the outer peripheral portion of the door outer panel; at least one reinforcing member that extends in a door longitudinal direction and that is joined to the annular reinforcement; and a fiber-reinforced door inner panel that is provided at a door inner side of the annular reinforcement, and is fastened to the annular reinforcement.
Vehicle door latch reinforcement assembly
A door latch reinforcement assembly includes a base member including a main wall portion extending laterally from an inboard side of an associated vehicle door to an outboard side of the associated vehicle door and an outboard flange portion extending from an outboard end of the main wall portion along the outboard side of the associated vehicle door. The door latch reinforcement assembly can include a stiffener overlaid onto the main wall portion to reinforce the base member. The assembly can include at least one notch extending into the main wall portion from an inboard end of the main wall portion to define the main wall portion into at least two fingers having distal ends.
Door structure of automotive vehicle
Vertical frame portions provided at both side portions of a door frame are a light-metal casting, plural connecting frames, which are a light-meal hollow extrusion molding, connect the vertical frame portions, the vertical frame portions are provided with protrusion portions which engage with inward connecting frames in a longitudinal direction, plural attachment portions which attach the outward connecting frames and the vertical frame portion are provided at different points in the longitudinal direction, and an outward connecting frame is provided with an upper rib which engages with an engagement recess portion provided at an upper portion of a door outer panel formed in a non-planar shape.
