Rotary recline mechanism
A rotary recline mechanism for allowing reclining movement of a first part relative to a second part, the mechanism comprising: a first gear mechanism comprising first and second gear rings having first and second sets of teeth that engage to lock the first and second parts relative to each other and disengage on operation of an actuator to allow relative movement of the first and second parts by application of a force on one of the parts in a first direction, and a second override gear mechanism to allow relative movement of the first and second parts by application of a force in a second direction while the first and second sets of teeth are engaged.
Locking assembly for recliner
A locking mechanism includes a housing, a cam disposed within the housing, and a plurality of pawls disposed within the housing. The housing includes a first plate and a second plate. The second plate includes a peripheral lip having an interior face that defines a plurality of teeth. Each of the plurality of pawls defines a central axis. Each of the plurality of pawls includes a plurality of pawl teeth. The plurality of pawl teeth include a first middle tooth positioned on a first side of the central axis and a second middle tooth positioned on an opposing second side of the central axis. The first middle tooth has a first flat face facing the central axis and a first curved face facing away from the central axis. The second middle tooth has a second flat face facing the central axis and a second curved face facing away from the central axis.
VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY WITH LOCKOUT CAM
A vehicle seating assembly includes a mounting bracket, a seat, a seatback, and a cam assembly. The seat is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket. The seatback is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket. The seatback includes a protrusion. The cam assembly is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket. The cam assembly includes a lockout cam having a first end and a second end. The first end of the lockout cam engages with the protrusion of the seatback such that movement of the seatback relative to the mounting bracket is restricted in a first non-use state. The second end of the lockout cam engages with the seat such that movement of the seat relative to the mounting bracket is restricted in a second non-use state.
RECLINER SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
An occupant support adapted for use in a vehicle includes a seat bottom coupled to a floor of the vehicle and a seat back configured to pivot about a seat-back pivot axis relative to the seat bottom between an upright position and a folded-forward position. The occupant support further includes a seat-motion controller configured to control movement of the seat back relative to the seat bottom.
RECLINER FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
An occupant support adapted for use in a vehicle includes a seat bottom coupled to a floor of the vehicle and a seat back configured to pivot about a seat-back pivot axis relative to the seat bottom between an upright position and a folded-forward position. The occupant support further includes a seat-motion controller configured to control movement of the seat back relative to the seat bottom.
Seat reclining device for vehicle
When a first memory member rotates relative to a second rotating member to a predetermined relative rotation position at which a second memory member sliding on a sliding surface is capable of entering an engagement slot, the slide-trailing end of the second memory member, which leaves the sliding surface last, is a corner having no round shape. Further, the boundary between the sliding surface and the engagement slot is also a corner having no round shape.
Adjuster with storage function of a vehicle seat backrest
A vehicle seat adjuster for adjusting the inclination of a backrest with respect to the seat.
LOCKING ASSEMBLY FOR RECLINER
A locking mechanism for a recliner assembly. The locking mechanism includes a plate and a pawl. The plate includes a peripheral lip having an interior face that defines a plurality of teeth. The pawl includes first teeth positioned at opposing ends thereof and second teeth positioned between the first teeth. Each of the first teeth has a first flat face and a second flat face. Each of the second teeth has one flat face and one curved face. The pawl is positionable between (i) a first position where the pawl does not engage with the plate and (ii) a second position where the pawl engages with the plate.
Seat reclining apparatus for vehicle
By a contact of an engagement portion of a second memory member to a circumferential wall portion of a first memory member, the engagement portion is restricted from moving in a radial direction in accordance with a lock operation of lock members. By an engagement of the circumferential wall portion of the first memory member with the engagement portion of the second memory member that is in contact with the circumferential wall portion, the first memory member integrally rotates with a first rotary member on a same axis of the first and second rotary members. In a state where a rotation limiting mechanism restricts the first memory member and the first rotary member from integrally rotating with each other, the first memory member allows the engagement portion to slide along a longitudinal direction of the circumferential wall portion.
Latch mechanism with locking feature
A latch mechanism is provided and may include a first plate, a second plate, a cam rotatably supported between the first plate and the second plate, and a plurality of pawls rotatably supported between the first plate and the second plate. The plurality of pawls are movable from an unlocked state to a locked state by the cam. The plurality of pawls each include a plurality of discrete locking members extending toward and received by respective notches formed in one of the first plate and the second plate.
