A recliner mechanism for a seat. The recliner mechanism may have first and second cams that may be rotatable about an axis. The first cam may engage and hold a pawl in an engaged position. The second cam may be spaced apart from the pawl when the pawl is in the retracted position.

RECLINER MECHANISM

A recliner mechanism having a first plate, a second plate, and at least one pawl. The first plate has a first set of teeth. The second plate has a second set of teeth. The pawl that has a set of pawl teeth that engage the first set of teeth and the second set of teeth to inhibit rotation of the second plate with respect to the first plate.

Seat reclining device and seat

Wobbling among components is reduced. The seat reclining device includes: outer rolling members (80) disposed between a ring-shaped bottom surface portion (71) of a mounting ring (70) and an outer surface of a guide bracket (20) or an outer surface of an internal gear (30), that faces the ring-shaped bottom surface portion (71); and inner rolling members (90) which are disposed between opposed surfaces of guide groove portions of the guide bracket (20) and lock plates (60A to 60D) to guide the lock plates (60A, 60C) in a radial direction. Owing to the outer rolling members (80) and the inner rolling members (90), force pressing stacked members relatively to one another functions in a stacking direction, and as its reaction force, spring force of the mounting ring (70) acts, so that wobbling is reduced. As for the relative pressing force by the outer rolling members (80) and the inner rolling members (90), the pressing force by the rolling members (80, 90) acts not only in a locked state but also in an unlocked state, so that wobbling among the members is reduced in the both states.

Recliner Heart For Seat Recliner Assembly

A recliner heart includes first, second and third locking plates and a pawl. The first locking plate defines a recess. The second locking plate includes a first inner diametrical surface having first teeth formed thereon. The third locking plate is disposed between the first and second locking plates and includes a second inner diametrical surface and an outer diametrical surface. The second inner diametrical surface has a notch formed therein. The outer diametrical surface has second teeth formed thereon. Some of the second teeth are meshingly engaged with some of the first teeth. The pawl is slidably disposed in the recess between a secure position in which the pawl is engaged with the notch of the third locking plate and a release position in which the pawl is disengaged from the notch of the third locking plate.

Seat recliner for vehicle

Disclosed is a seat recliner for a vehicle, the seat recliner including: a first flange provided with a plurality of guide parts being spaced apart from each other, with guide spaces defined between the guide parts; a plurality of locking gears disposed in the guide spaces of the first flange respectively, configured to slide forward and backward along the guide parts in a radial direction, and provided with external teeth at an outer end of each of the locking gears; and a second flange coupled with the first flange to be rotatable relative thereto, formed in a shape covering the guide parts and the locking gears, and configured to be engaged with the external teeth of the locking gears.

Disc recliner mechanism for use in an automotive vehicle

A disc recliner mechanism for use in an automotive vehicle includes a plurality of pawls and a cam mounted between a guide plate and a tooth plate. Rotation of the cam moves the pawls between an extended position in which the pawls engage the tooth plate to lock the disc recliner mechanism and a retracted position in which the pawls disengage the tooth plate to unlock the disc recliner mechanism and allow rotation between the guide plate and the tooth plate. A notch is disposed on an engagement surface of a cam lobe disposed on the cam for reducing friction when the cam lobe engages a cam follower disposed on the pawls. The tooth plate includes a circumferential outer lip with a concentric channel for retaining lubricant and reducing rotational friction between the tooth plate and the guide plate.

Recliner heart having biasing members

A recliner heart includes a first locking plate, a second locking plate, a hub, a pair of wedges, a first biasing member, and a second biasing member. The first locking plate includes first teeth. The second locking plate is rotatable relative to the first locking plate and includes second teeth. The first biasing member is configured to apply a first biasing force to the wedges. The second biasing member is configured to apply a second biasing force to the wedges. The hub is rotatable between a first position in which the first and second biasing forces are applied to the wedges to restrict rotation of the second locking plate relative to the first locking plate, and a second position in which the first biasing force applied to one wedge of the wedges is reduced to allow rotation of the second locking plate relative to the first locking plate.

Hardware system for a vehicle seat

A hardware system, for a vehicle seat, includes a fitting (10) having a first fitting part (11) and a second fitting part (12), which can be locked to one another and can rotate in relation to one another about an axis (A), a transmission rod (7) and a hand lever (5), the actuation of which rotates the transmission rod (7). The fitting is unlocked via a rotation of the transmission rod against a total characteristic torque (M.sub.overall), produced from a sum of a first characteristic torque (M.sub.35), generated by a spring assembly (35), and a second characteristic torque (M.sub.61), generated by spiral springs (61). A first component (63) is rotationally fixed to the transmission rod and a second component (64) moves relative thereto during unlocking. The spiral springs (61) act between the first component (63) and the second component (64). A vehicle seat is provided having the hardware system.
