Device and method to warn vehicle driver or others of occupant left in a vehicle
A safety device provides a warning to drivers of a child left in a car seat. When a child is secured in a car seat a safety lanyard or safety garment with appropriate warning signs should be worn by the vehicle driver. When the driver reaches the destination, the driver will remove the child from the seat and place the safety device therein. In the event that the driver forgets the child in the car seat, the presence of the safety lanyard on the driver will serve to alert others of the child in the vehicle. The safety lanyard is attached to a safety insert that is inserted into the child car seat buckle that prevents the standard sliding buckle tabs from being inserted into the child car seat buckle. The safety insert must be removed prior to the child being bucked into the seat.
Car seat
An car seat that can be quickly attached and detached to a vehicle seat and a stroller. An example embodiment is a car seat that includes a carrier portion, a base portion, and a release handle coupled to the carrier for enabling detachment of the carrier from the base and stroller. The car seat includes a tension arm for releasably clamping a vehicle belt onto the base and tensioning the belt to secure the base portion to a vehicle seat.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT FOR ATTACHING TO A MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT
The invention relates to a child safety seat for attaching to a motor vehicle seat, comprising a seat region, a back portion, an impact shield, the impact shield comprising an integrated airbag and/or an airbag being provided in the seat region, an acceleration-sensing device for sensing an acceleration of the child safety seat, and a control device, which is configured in such a way that the airbag is deployed on the basis of an acceleration sensed by the acceleration-sensing device.
SUPPORT BASE FOR A CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A support base for a child safety seat includes a shell, a belt clamp, a latching mechanism and a belt retaining structure. The shell is adapted to receive a child seat thereon, and has a panel at an end thereof. The belt clamp is pivotally connected with the shell and is disposed adjacent to the panel, the panel rising above the belt clamp, the belt clamp being operable to clamp a lap belt portion of a vehicle safety belt adjacent to a surface of the shell. The latching mechanism is operable to lock the belt clamp in a clamping state. The belt retaining structure is provided on the panel, and is configured to hold a shoulder belt portion of a vehicle safety belt adjacent to the panel.

Locking harness
A retainer apparatus including a first retainer portion, a second retainer portion, and a sensor comprising a motion detector and an alarm. The retainer apparatus includes the first retainer portion configured to be slidably attached to a first harness strap and a second retainer portion configured to be slidably attached to a second harness strap. The first retainer portion is removably attached to the second retainer portion. The motion detector is configured to detect movement of the retainer apparatus and activate the alarm to alert a user in a vehicle if movement of the retainer apparatus is detected.
Seat belt pull through device for a car seat called a Buckleze Pull
A seat belt pull through device for a car seat used in a vehicle. It allows an occupant, a child, to remain comfortably in a semi-erect or upright position while placed in a toddler or infant car safety seat. The device facilitates fast and easy installation of the car seat and connection of the car seat to the existing seat and shoulder belts already with the vehicle. It greatly simplifies the insertion of the vehicle belts through the car seat and removes the cumbersome and tiresome fishing of a limp belt through the tight, small openings in the car seat structure. The device includes an extended sheath with a hook and protector flaps to enable the vehicle belt to be inserted into a seat belt slot of the car seat, pushed through and removably connected to the seat belt system of the entire vehicle.
Method and apparatus for a rotatable child safety seat
A rotatable child safety seat can include a seat base configured to rest on a vehicle seat and a seat shell for receiving a child therein. The seat shell can rotate with respect to the seat base and with a rotation axis offset from a center of the longitudinal axis of the seat base. The seat base can include a seat belt lock-off system for maintaining positioning of the automobile seat belt with respect to the seat base and for adding tension into the automobile seat belt. The child safety seat can include two separate seat belt/LATCH belt pathways. One seat belt/LATCH belt pathway can be provided along the seat back of the seat shell and used when the child safety seat is in a forward-facing configuration and the other seat belt/LATCH belt pathway can be provided in the seat base and used when in a rearward-facing configuration.
Adjustable child device
An adjustable child device includes a first seat portion, a second seat portion and a belt engaging element. The second seat portion is foldable relative to the first seat portion between an unfolded position and a folded position and at least partially received in the first seat portion when the second seat portion is located at the folded position. The second seat portion and the first seat portion are located on a horizontal plane to form a seat part when the second seat portion is located at the unfolded position. A positioning protrusion is formed on a lateral side of the seat part. The belt engaging element is installed on a lateral side of the seat part. A positioning recess is formed on the belt engaging element for engaging with the positioning protrusion. The adjustable child device can be folded when it is not in use, which saves storage space.
