CAR SEAT AND METHOD FOR FASTENING A CAR SEAT TO A VEHICLE
A car seat configured to be fastened to a vehicle, includes a seat shell and a belt guide disposed at the seat shell to redirect a belt set of the vehicle for rerouting the belt set along a deviation path from an original path. When the belt set is not engaged with the belt guide, the belt set is routed along the original path. When the belt set is engaged with the belt guide, the belt set is routed along the deviation path from the original path. The rerouted belt set improves the symmetry of forces encountered by the vehicle and also improves the kinetics of the car seat during a crash. A break-away feature in the belt guide advantageously absorbs forces at different times during a crash.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RETAINING A CROTCH BUCKLE
The present disclosure pertains to a system configured to secure a crotch plate of a child car seat while providing for lower forces upon the seated child during impact events. Some embodiments may include: a seating surface and a back surface; an internal harness, including a crotch strap; a crotch plate for mounting the crotch strap thereto; and at least one connection member for connecting the crotch plate to an anchor mounted below the seating surface. The at least one connection member may significantly resist movement in a first direction and may significantly allow movement in a second direction different from the first direction.
A-LOK PLASTIC CAM WITH ALUMINUM TOOTH INSERT
A harness adjuster configured to secure webbing of a child car seat. The adjuster includes a frame, a lever assembly, and a shaft configured to secure the lever assembly within the frame. The lever assembly further includes a lever portion and a web engagement portion. The web engagement portion is configured to secure a toothed insert via a tongue and groove connection. In one embodiment, the lever portion and the toothed insert are made from different materials. For example, the lever portion is made from a plastic and/or polymeric material and the toothed insert is made from a metallic material.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat includes a seat shell having a backrest portion and a sidewall protruding forward from the backrest portion, an adjustable headrest movable along the backrest portion, and a first belt guide fixedly connected with the sidewall at a top thereof and a second belt guide provided on the headrest, wherein the first belt guide and the second belt guide are configured to receive a shoulder belt portion of a vehicle seatbelt disposed through a gap between the sidewall and the headrest. In some embodiments, the child safety seat may include a latch belt disposed transversally across the seat shell and having two opposite ends respectively provided with two connectors for attachment to an anchorage provided in a vehicle, and a storage compartment on a rear of the backrest portion adapted to receive the two connectors of the latch belt.
Car seat with belt guide
A car seat with belt guide disposed at the side of the seat shell is for redirecting the shoulder belt when the car seat is installed on the vehicle seat, passed and fastened by the seat belt of the vehicle seat. The redirection of shoulder belt improves the symmetry of forces encountered by the vehicle seat and also improves the kinetics of the car seat during a crash. A break-away feature in the belt guide advantageously absorbs forces at different times during a crash.
Child safety seat with belted pivot link
The invention relates to a child safety seat (100) adapted to be secured with a safety belt (40) of a vehicle, comprising a seat shell (20) for receiving a child; and a seat base (10) for being placed on a seat of the vehicle. The seat base (10) comprises a base member (1) coupled to the seat shell (20); a pivoting component (2) connected pivotably to the base member (1); and an engaging member (3) configured to engage with the safety belt (40) of the vehicle, wherein the engaging member (3) is coupled to the pivoting component (2) such that a movement of the engaging member (3) in a certain direction relative to the base member (1) causes the pivoting component (2) to pivot away from the base member (1).
CHILD SEAT FOR ATTACHING TO A MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT
The invention relates to a child seat for attaching to a motor vehicle seat, comprising a seat region, a backrest, a headrest having at least one belt guide, and a headrest inclination adjustment device for adjusting an inclination of the headrest relative to the backrest.
Child safety seat
A child safety seat includes a seat shell having a backrest portion and a sidewall protruding forward from the backrest portion and having a first rod inside the seat shell, an adjustable headrest movable along the backrest portion, the headrest being fixedly connected with a second rod and a spacer that are located adjacent to each other, and a child restraining harness having a harness strap, the harness strap wrapping around the first rod and forming two folded strap portions that extend downward from the first rod, one of the two folded strap portions wrapping around the second rod, and the spacer being disposed between the two folded strap portions for preventing a contact between the two folded strap portions.
Child safety seat
A child safety seat (1) including a seat base (12) having an upper surface (13) and a lower surface (14) and comprising at least one elongate slot (15) extending through the seat base (12) between the upper surface and the lower surface (13, 14), a crotch strap (20) extending downwardly from a buckle (21) which is above the upper surface (13) of the seat base (12), wherein the crotch strap (20) extends through the at least one elongate slot (15) and has at least one end (22) slidably retained in relation to the seat base (12), and a crotch strap adjustment mechanism (30) configured to act on an intermediate portion of the crotch strap (20), the adjustment mechanism (30) being slidable with respect to the seat base (12) in an oblique direction relative to the direction of elongation of the at least one elongate slot (15) to adjust both the position of the crotch strap (20) exiting the at least one elongate slot (15) and the length of the crotch strap (20) extending above the upper surface (13) of the seat base (12).
Apparatus and method for a booster seat anchor belt retractor system
An anchor belt retractor system can be provided with a booster seat. The booster seat can include a booster seat base and optionally a seat back. The booster seat base can include a cavity or housing within which the anchor belt retractor system is housed. The anchor belt retractor system can include at least one spool or drum about which webbing can be wound. The system can also include a first anchor webbing having a first end coupled to the spool and a second end coupled to an anchor latch. The system can also include a second anchor webbing having a first end coupled to the spool and a second end coupled to a second anchor latch.
