The support base includes an anti-rebound part and a locking mechanism. The anti-rebound part is connected with the shell body for sliding movements along a sliding axis, the anti-rebound part having an abutting portion tilted relative to the sliding axis that extends upward at a front of the child seat, the anti-rebound part being slidable along the sliding axis relative to the shell body for displacing the abutting portion away from the child seat or toward the child seat so as to adjust a leg room for a child. The locking mechanism is operable to lock the anti-rebound part in position with respect to the shell body.

The child restraint further includes a juvenile seat adapted to be secured to the seat base and a seat connection system configured to maintain connection between the juvenile seat and the seat base.

The invention further relates to a child safety seat comprising such a seat base.

A seat system of a vehicle includes a cushion portion configured to support an occupant sitting on the cushion portion, and a back portion configured to support the back of the occupant sitting on the cushion portion. A lower portion includes: a first side; a second side that is opposite the first side; and an infant car seat base located on the first side. An actuator is configured to selectively actuate the lower portion to: a first position where the infant car seat base is located entirely under the cushion portion; and a second position where at least a portion of the second side of the lower portion contacts the cushion portion and the infant car seat base is located entirely above the cushion portion.

The buffering part is movable between a stowed position where the buffering part is retracted toward the sidewall, and a deployed position where the buffering part protrudes sideways from the sidewall. The latch is movable relative to the buffering part between a locking state where the latch is engaged with the locking slot for locking the buffering part to the seat shell, and an unlocking state where the latch is disengaged from the locking slot for unlocking the buffering part so that the buffering part is movable relative to the seat shell.

The child carrier includes a seat shell having a foot portion protruding downward, the foot portion having an interior in which are assembled a release arm and a fixed rod. The foot portion is placed on the bottom surface in the receiving area and the latch engages with the rod when the child carrier is locked with the support base, and the release arm is operable to push the latch to disengage from the rod for removal of the child carrier from the support base.
