The present disclosure provides a retaining device for a carrier, which includes a base support assembly connected to and supporting a base of the carrier, a retaining assembly configured to secure the carrier to a vehicle seat, a fastening rod provided on and movable with the base support assembly, a slider provided within the retaining assembly and engaged with the fastening rod such that the fastening rod is able to move the slider, and a cushioning assembly engaged with the slider. The cushioning assembly provides cushioning to the slider when an impact force from the slider applied to the cushioning assembly reaches a predetermined value, allowing for a movement of the slider from a first position to a second position.

A height adjustment mechanism for a headrest includes: a locking member configured to be locked with a height adjustment gear, the locking member having a first locking position and a first unlocking position, and the locking member being capable of switching between the first locking position and the first unlocking position; an operating member having an initial position, a first operating position and a second operating position; a safety lock structure configured to lock the locking member in the first locking position, the safety lock structure being movably connected on the operating member; and a driving member, one side of the driving member being slidably connected to the operating member, the other side of the driving member abutting against the locking member.

A child safety seat includes a seat portion, and a backrest assembly configured to connect with the seat portion. The backrest assembly includes a backrest portion and a headrest portion, the headrest portion including a headrest mounting part adapted to connect with the backrest portion so that the headrest portion is held with the backrest portion via the headrest mounting part, and a head support that is adapted to provide support for a child's head and is installable on and removable from the headrest mounting part.

The side impact protection device comprises a fixed seat assembled on the backrest and a side impact protection block pivotally coupled to the fixed seat via a pivot shaft. The side impact protection block has at least an extended position and a retracted position during a pivoting process around an axis of the pivot shaft in respect to the fixed seat, one of the fixed seat and the side impact protection block has a locking structure, and the other one of the fixed seat and the side impact protection block has a cooperative locking structure being cooperating with the locking structure, the locking structure is automatically locked with the cooperative locking structure when the side impact protection block is pivoted to the extended position around the axis. The side impact protection device is simple in structure and easy in operation.

The invention relates to a method for treating fibres, to an installation for treating fibres and thus obtained tape made of treated fibres. The treatment method comprises the steps of continuously supplying a bundle of fibres (1), applying a first resin (51) to the bundle of fibres (1) by electrostatic deposition of particles of the first resin (51), bonding the particles of the first resin (51) to the bundle of fibres (1) by heating, and applying a surface coating to at least one side of the bundle of fibres (1) by depositing filaments of a second resin (91), such that the thus obtained tape made of fibres has a minimum resin load in relation to the fibre used.

A vehicle seat includes a seat, face part, a back face part, and a fixing member for fixing an auxiliary seat, which is disposed between the seat face part and the back face part. The seat face part includes a seat face recess capable of housing a lower face side of a seat part of an auxiliary seat, and a seat face cushion that is detachably attached to the seat face recess. The back face part includes a back face recess capable of housing a rear face side of a back part of the auxiliary seat, and a back face cushion that is detachably attached to the back face recess.

A child safety seat assembly for alerting a user to improper use thereof includes a safety seat, which comprises a base that is engageable to a seat of a vehicle and a harness to secure a child in the safety seat. A sensor and alert module engaged to the safety seat detects positioning of a child upon the safety seat and alerts the user thereof. The sensor and alert module also detects buckling of the harness and alerts the user of a buckling failure.

A child seat including a tensioning mechanism for applying tension to a seat belt to more fully secure the child seat to a vehicle seat is provided herein. The child seat, which may be front- and/or rear-facing, includes a seat base defining a seat portion and a backrest portion. The seat base can receive an untensioned belt to secure the child seat to a vehicle seat in an untensioned configuration. A tensioning mechanism attached to the backrest portion and is rotatable between a first position substantially adjacent to the backrest portion and a second position disposed therefrom. In the second position, the tensioning mechanism can receive a portion of the belt. In the first position, the tensioning mechanism applies tension to the portion of the received belt to secure the child seat to the vehicle seat in a tensioned configuration. Methods of manufacturing child seats are also provided herein.

A portable child safety restraint system is provided. The portable child safety restraint system includes a child safety seating system and a backpack. The child safety seating system includes a seat bottom that is connected to a seat back such that the seat bottom is rotatable from an open position to a closed position. The child safety seating system is entirely removable from the backpack or permanently secured to or within at least one enclosure of the backpack. A method of securing a child in a portable child safety restraint system is also provided.
