A child seat comprising: an outer shell supporting an inner shell therein, the inner shell and the outer shell together defining a child protection region within the seat; an adjustment mechanism disposed between the inner shell and the outer shell defining a trajectory of movement for the inner shell relative to the outer shell, wherein relative movement between the inner shell and the outer shell along the trajectory of movement adjusts a size and a shape of the child protection region of the seat.

A vehicle seat (1) with a seat segment (14) which includes a first seat area (11) with a first backrest (21) that can be pivoted about a pivot axis (A) running in a transverse direction (y) and a second seat area (12) with a second backrest (22) that can be pivoted about the pivot axis (A). The second backrest (22) is equipped with a locking device (9) which interacts with a locking bracket (8) provided on the first backrest (21). The locking device (9) includes at least one axis pin (92) with a longitudinal axis (94) that is inclined relative to the transverse direction (y).

Embodiments of a car seat include an outer protective shell, an inner seat, a suspension system connecting and permitting relative movement between the inner seat and the outer protective shell. The suspension system may include a plurality of deformable metal straps. Also, embodiments of a car seat system include a frame constructed to couple to a vehicle seat. The frame has a vertical portion that extends upwardly substantially along a vehicle seatback. The vertical portion extends at least half of the height of vehicle seatback. Also, the system includes a car seat constructed to couple to the frame.

The reclining baby car seat is a child safety seat that can be reconfigured into both an upright and a reclining position. In the upright position it provides comfortable safe seating for a small child. In the reclining position it accommodates a sleeping child. The reclining baby car seat may be motorized for ease of reconfiguration.

A rear seat lift device includes a mechanism disposed below a cushion support proximate a rear portion of the seat and is operable between a lowered position and a raised position. A rear portion of the seat is elevated relative to the seatback to minimize a height difference between the rear portion of the seat and a bottom portion of the seatback when the seatback is in the fully reclined position.

In some countries, it is a legal requirement for babies, infants and children under a certain age and/or height to be provided with a supplemental car seat when travelling in a vehicle. Furthermore, parents and guardians of children typically make use of a pram to transport a child. However, babies and infants grow quickly and may outgrow conventional car seats and prams within a year or two years. Therefore, a parent or guardian must typically provide several car seats and prams for their child. The present disclosure provides a child car seat system 100 including an infant carrier module 200 that may be releasably docked within a docking module 300 or a wheeled frame 400 to form a car seat and a pram respectively. The infant carrier module 200 may be arranged in an upright position or a lie flat position.

A child safety seat includes a support base having a stop, a sliding carriage, a rotary platform having a follower part, and a child seat. The sliding carriage is slidable relative to the support base between a retracted and an extended position, and the child seat and the rotary platform are rotatable together relative to the sliding carriage and the support base between a forward and a rearward facing position. While the sliding carriage is in a position other than the retracted position, a rotational movement of the child seat and the rotary platform is limited by a contact between the follower part and the stop that keeps the child seat and the rotary platform apart from the forward facing position, and the stop is located outside a travel path of the follower part when the sliding carriage is in the retracted position for rotation of the rotary platform to the forward facing position.

The reclining child car seat is a child safety seat. The reclining child car seat comprises a reclining mechanism that reclines the reclining child car seat in a manner that allows a child to sleep while secured within the reclining child car seat. The reclining mechanism is motor operated. The reclining mechanism is remote controlled. The reclining child seat comprises a seat and a reclining mechanism. The reclining mechanism further comprises a linkage and a control system. The linkage is a structure that: 1) attaches the seating portion of the reclining child car seat to an automobile; and 2) controls the position of the seating portion of the reclining child car seat. The control system adjusts the position of the seating portion of the reclining child car seat.
