BENCH FOR UTILITY AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
A bench for a utility automotive vehicle, adapted to be installed transversely, in the front of a utility automotive vehicle, wherein the bench has a seat bottom framework and a seatback framework. The seat bottom framework comprises two lateral side plates, a first crosspiece and a second crosspiece with the first and second crosspieces each being fixed to each side plate. The seatback framework comprises at least two risers near the first crosspiece. Each riser is fixed to a respective side plate of the seat bottom framework such that in case of impact, the two risers come into contact with the first crosspiece in order to limit the deformation of the bench.
Conveyance seat
Provided is a conveyance seat capable of appropriately controlling the behavior of the pelvis (lumbar) of a seated occupant when an impact occurs, and thereby suppressing the generation of a compressive load on the spine of the seated occupant. This conveyance seat is provided with a seat cushion. The seat cushion has: a seat cushion frame; a cushion pad placed on the seat cushion frame; and a high-hardness portion provided below the cushion pad and higher in hardness than the material of the cushion pad. The high-hardness portion is disposed such that at least a part of the high-hardness portion overlaps a sinking suppression member in the vertical direction of the conveyance seat. The sinking suppression member is provided in the seat cushion frame or a vehicle body so that sinking of a seated occupant is suppressed. The sinking suppression member is disposed below the high-hardness portion.
Dynamic backward seat sliding before impact in a commercial vehicle
The invention relates to a safety system for a vehicle seat in a commercial vehicle operating a vehicle seat motion actuation when the commercial vehicle is about to collide with an obstacle, comprising: —at least one actuator unit that comprises at least one seat actuator to move the vehicle seat from a driving position to a safety position—at least one control unit connected to said actuator unit to control the at least one seat actuator—at least one proximity sensor connected to said control unit and configured to detect an obstacle before the commercial vehicle collides it wherein the control unit, upon receiving an imminent and unavoidable collision alert signal from the proximity sensor, controls the at least one seat actuator to move the vehicle seat to the safety position.
SEAT PAN IMPULSE DEVICE FOR THE REDUCTION OF SPINAL TENSION LOADS RESULTING FROM A FREE FLAIL EVENT
A system and method for delivering an axial compression load to a passenger during a frontal deceleration event is disclosed. The system includes a seat frame, a seat pan, and an impulse generator coupled to the seat pan configured to provide an axial compression load onto a spine of a sitting passenger during a forward deceleration event. The system further includes a controller configured to receive a forward deceleration signal from the inertial sensor and activate the impulse generator based on the forward deceleration signal. The impulse generator may generate a compressive force via a chemical reaction, via a mechanically stored energy, a solenoid switch, or via a rotating cam assembly.
VEHICLE SEAT COMPRISING A FORCE RECOVERY SYSTEM IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION
A vehicle seat having a seat cushion and a sliding rail, the seat cushion being movable in an elevation direction. The seat includes an anchoring element and a holding device, with the holding device having a cam and a blocking element. The blocking element is mounted so as to be movable at least in rotation between a nominal position and a blocking position so as to prevent the movement of the seat cushion. The cam is mounted so as to be movable between a rest position and an active position in which it drives the blocking element toward its blocking position. The cam is configured to be moved to the active position when a force greater than a predetermined force is applied to the anchoring element.
Resin fuses and vehicles comprising the same
A vehicle seat assembly including a seat frame assembly including a seat base and a seat back pivotally connected to the seat base. The seat back includes at least one resin fuse arranged in the seat back to indicate structural loading in the vehicle seat assembly above a tolerance loading. The at least one resin fuse includes an aperture extending through the seat back and comprising a flange encircling the aperture and extending generally perpendicular to the seat back, and an indicator bar extending across a diameter of the aperture. The aperture is open on either side of the indicator bar.
TRACK ASSEMBLY
A track assembly includes a track and a support member connected to and configured move along the track. The support member may include an engagement portion. The engagement portion may be configured to engage the track to limit relative movement between the track and the support member in a loaded state of the track assembly. The engagement portion may be configured not to operatively engage the track or limit movement between the track and the support member in an unloaded state of the track assembly.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat is provided with a wire that, in the event of a vehicle frontal collision, enables a pulling load applied by a vehicle occupant to a webbing to be transmitted between a cushion frame of a seat cushion and a movable rail of a sliding device. One end portion of the wire is anchored to a first anchoring member of the movable rail, while another end portion of the wire is anchored to a second anchoring member of the cushion frame.
REACTIVE AND DISSIPATIVE RECLINER SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat that includes: a cushion; a backrest; an articulation having a first flange fixed to the cushion and a second flange fixed to the backrest, the second flange being mounted so as to be able to rotate with respect to the first flange; a device for straightening the backrest interdependently rotating with the second flange and defining a straightening slot comprising a first portion separated from a second portion by a bridge; and a pin integral with the backrest, extending into the first portion of the straightening slot. When an impact torque greater than a predetermined torque is applied to the backrest, the pin breaches the bridge and then moves freely in the second portion.
ACTIVE NIJ REDUCTION DEVICES
A passenger seat is described which reduces neck deflection in a 16 G loading event. The passenger seat includes one or more seatback surfaces which translate to shield a surface, such as a latch mechanism, during the crash event. By shielding the latch mechanism, a smooth surface is created, thereby reducing a likelihood of a passenger's head becoming trapped on the latch mechanism. The seatback surfaces actuated include one or more of a shroud surrounding the latch mechanism, a pocket defined by the shroud, or a hinged surface.
