SEAT RAIL MODULE FOR A VEHICLE SEAT FOR VEHICLE SEAT DECELERATION IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH
A seat rail module for a vehicle seat, comprising two longitudinal adjustment rails (10) arranged parallel to each other for guiding the vehicle seat (1) and adjusting its position in longitudinal direction, deformation units (18) which can be fastened or are fastened to the longitudinal adjustment rails (10), and fastening members (25) for fastening the seat rail module to the floor of a vehicle body, wherein the vehicle seat (1) can be fastened to the longitudinal adjustment rails (10) and the deformation units (18) are configured for deforming deformation members (19) when the vehicle seat is displaced in a main direction of travel, in order to decelerate the vehicle seat in the event of a crash, characterized in that the fastening members (25) are configured to fasten the seat rail module to the floor of the vehicle body by means of locking, and in that the fastening members (25) are mechanically unlocked when the vehicle seat (1) is displaced in longitudinal direction in the direction opposite to the main direction of travel beyond a predetermined limit line (8).
Also in the rear area in which the vehicle seat assumes a seat position which is shifted relatively far backward, such as will be possible in the future for autonomous driving or as a relax position, precautions for occupant protection are provided to a sufficient extent, even if front occupant protection systems, in particular front airbags, are no longer effective in this area.
DEVICE FOR INFLUENCING A BACKWARD MOVEMENT OF A SEAT AND SEAT
The invention relates to a device for influencing a backward movement of a seat (1), in particular a backrest part (1.1) of the seat (1), with at least one deformation element (4) arranged in a hinged area (7) of the seating part (1.2) of the seat (1), the deformation element (4) being configured such that the deformation element can be deformed due to a force acting on the seating part (1.2) and/or the back part (1.1) at a predefined torque curve. The invention also relates to a seat (1), in particular a vehicle seat, comprising a seating part (1.2), a backrest part (1.1) and the type of device.
PASSENGER PROTECTION APPARATUS
A passenger protection apparatus for a vehicle includes first and second airbags, an airbag deployment device, a collision speed detector, a passenger's Position detector, a seat moving unit, an airbag deployment determination unit, and a deployment controller. The first airbag is deployable in different sizes. The second airbag is deployable between the first airbag and vehicle equipment. The airbag deployment device deploys the airbags. The collision speed detector detects a collision or collision possibility of a vehicle, and calculates a collision speed. The passenger position detector detects a position of a passenger sitting on a seat. The seat moving unit moves the seat. The airbag deployment determination unit determines a size of the deployed first airbag. The deployment controller determines an amount of movement of the seat, causes the seat moving unit to move the seat, and causes the airbag deployment device to deploy the airbags.
Vehicle occupant support
A system of air cushions adapted to ensconce the head of an occupant in a child seat during side impact, extendable to a system of air cushions with sacrificial chamber to inflate the aircushions.
Collision safer vehicles having a steering wheel with dual positions and collision-retreat seats
A new type of vehicles is disclosed that equipped with a steering wheel which can be located and operated either in side location or in central location. The information display panel, the brake pedal, and the acceleration pedal can be moved along with the steering wheel, the central convenient cabin can be moved to side also. When the steering wheel is located at the central position, additional about 1 foot or more collision cushion space is created which will substantially reduce the injuries and fatal casualties caused by side collisions. The new type of the vehicles disclosed here can also be equipped with collision-retreat vehicle seats, such collision-retreat seats can be pushed backward through proper mechanism when the front-end collisions happen; such seat backward retreat will create additional collision cushion space between the front occupants and the frontal elements such as steering wheel, dashboard and windshield glass, the severity of the injuries and fatal casualties will be substantially reduced, lives will be saved.
SEAT SLIDING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE
A seat sliding structure for a vehicle includes: a pair of left and right slide rails that include upper rails, which are attached to a lower portion of a vehicle seat, and lower rails, which support the upper rails such that the upper rails can slide in a vehicle longitudinal direction; rail guiding members that are fixed to a floor panel, and that support the lower rails such that the lower rails can slide in the vehicle longitudinal direction between a driving position at a vehicle front side and a relaxation position at a vehicle rear side; and a locking mechanism that locks movement of the slide rails at the relaxation position, and that releases a locked state when a frontal collision of the vehicle is detected or predicted.
Foot prop for a child safety seat
The invention relates to a foot prop adapted to be attached to a child safety seat, comprising an elongate component, comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion is slidable relative to the upper portion in longitudinal direction of the elongate component. The foot prop is configured such that a force applied in the longitudinal direction causes the lower portion to automatically move away from the upper portion whenever the force exceeds a predetermined threshold, so that the length of the elongate component is increased; and the foot prop is configured such that the lower and the upper portion are releasably blocked against relative movement towards one another. The invention further relates to a seat base and a child safety seat comprising a foot prop.
Energy absorbing assembly
An energy-absorbing assembly includes an outer assembly with an outer hollow cylindrical member, and an inner assembly with an inner hollow cylindrical member having an end disposed in the outer member. The inner and outer assemblies are axially movably engaged with each other and define first and second cavities separated by a membrane: a first cavity inside the outer hollow cylindrical member and a second cavity inside the inner hollow cylindrical member. An adjustable-size orifice is disposed between the first and second cavities, and is configured to reduce diameter in response to a stroke motion of the energy-absorbing assembly.
VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT PROTECTION SYSTEM WITH AN ENLARGED FREE SPACE AVAILABLE IN THE VEHICLE INTERIOR
A vehicle with a vehicle seat arranged in the vehicle interior, which is paired with an occupant protection system, which has at least one crash detection sensor system that detects at least one acceleration value in the event of a crash, which influences the vehicle in the event of a crash so that inertial forces act on the vehicle seat connected to the vehicle and on the occupant sitting on the vehicle seat on the basis of an acceleration value, wherein the acceleration value is used for the crash-adaptive specification, over time, of said displacement travel of the occupant secured with a belt system on the vehicle seat. A total displacement travel of the vehicle seat in the travel direction comprises an additional, exclusively crash-active displacement travel adjoining a displacement travel of the vehicle seat for seat length adjustment in the travel direction.
