Provided is a seat which offers increased ride comfort and less fatigue felt even on long-time sitting. The seat includes a cushion frame, a first support member supported by the cushion frame and configured to support a seated occupant, second support members disposed at left and right sides of the first support member and configured to be deformable, and a restraining portion by which each second support member is restrained in such a manner that its laterally outer side is less likely to sink down than its laterally center side. The seat is configured such that an upper-side support surface for supporting a seated occupant is so restrained by the restraining portion as to assume a first position when no occupant is seated, and to assume a second position when an occupant is seated, the support surface facing further inward in the second position than in the first position.

In a vehicle seat, a frame member includes left and right side frames which are disposed separately from each other in a lateral direction, and a pair of connecting frames which are disposed separately from each other in a perpendicular direction perpendicular to the lateral direction and by which the left and right side frames are connected; left and right first bridging wires are disposed separately from each other in the lateral direction and the pair of connecting frames are bridged by the left and right first bridging wires. Each of the left and right first bridging wires includes an extension portion extending in the perpendicular direction and a bent in portion so bent as to protrude laterally outward relative to the extension portion. The bent portion is located on an occupant side with respect to a plane extending through the extension portions of the left and right first bridging wires.

Spring-based seat diaphragm

A spring-based seat diaphragm may include at least one support diaphragm component. The at least one support diaphragm component may be transversely coupled to the first structural beam and the second structural beam. The spring-based seat diaphragm may include at least one spring. The at least one spring may be proximate to the at least one support diaphragm component. The at least one spring may be parallel to or positioned transverse to the at least one support diaphragm component between the first primary spreader and the second primary spreader. The at least one spring may include a plurality of bends configured to distribute user weight applied to a cushion installed on the aircraft seat over the spring-based seat diaphragm. The spring-based seat diaphragm may be configured to support an aft portion of the cushion. The first structural beam may be configured to support a forward portion of the cushion.

Provided is a vehicle seat (S) including a vehicle occupant support member (20) that can be assembled to the seat cushion frame (F1) with ease. A vehicle occupant support member extends between a front cross frame member (15) and a rear cross frame member (16) for supporting a vehicle occupant from below and fitted centrally with a child seat anchor (17), and a rear end part of the vehicle support member is provided with an anchor engagement portion (23B) for engaging a part of the anchor to prevent lateral movement of the vehicle support member. The vehicle occupant support member includes a plurality of spring members (21), a rear hook member (23) connected to the rear ends of the spring members and hooked onto a rear cross frame member, and a front hook member (22) connected to the front ends of the spring members and hooked onto a front cross frame member.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat that can reduce manufacturing costs while increasing assembling rigidity of an elastic spring for supporting an occupant is described. A vehicle seat includes an elastic spring bridged between a front frame and a rear frame to support an occupant. A hook member is attached to a rear end portion of the elastic spring to be hooked to the rear frame. The hook member includes a hook body extending along an outer periphery of the rear frame and a projection projecting from a front edge of the hook body toward the rear frame and formed to have a width smaller than a width of the hook body. A through-hole is formed in a portion of the hook body, which is opposed to the projection. The through-hole has a width larger than a width of the projection and a length larger than a projecting length of the projection.

The present invention relates to a spring member mounting structure, which is a structure for mounting a spring member on a cushion frame connecting side frames by use of a rear pipe. The spring member has rear clipping portions engaged with the rear pipe. Cover members, which are provided at seat central sides of connecting portions of the side frames and the rear pipe, have extension portions extending toward the seat central sides. The rear clipping portions abut on ends of the seat central sides of the extension portions, and are mounted to the rear pipe by width direction positioning of the spring member.
