The weight loss system can comprise an effective amount of: an antimicrobial component that includes berberine, cinnamon and curcumin; fish oil; a probiotic component that includes Lactobacillus spp., Bifidobacterium spp., and Streptococcus spp.; an antioxidant, phytochemical component that includes apple extract, grape extract, green tea extract, and olive extract; and a vitamin component that includes vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. The weight loss system can stimulate a weight loss of at least 3% more than if not administered to the subject. Further presented herein is a method of facilitating weight loss in a subject and a method of improving the health of a subject participating in a weight loss program.

Embodiments herein relate to a composition comprising an enhanced kava extract, wherein the enhanced kava extract comprises a kava product extracted using a material comprising CO2 and/or ethanol extraction method from a selected part of a kava plant and containing 50% or more of a kavalactone as measured by HPLC, wherein the kava plant is not a wild type kava such that the kava product is safe for human consumption, as well as to the methods of making the composition, and a human edible or drinkable product comprising an enhanced kava extract, and an additive comprising a tetrahydrocannabinol extract, a cannabidiol extract, a hemp extract or combinations thereof. In one embodiment, the enhanced kava extract comprises a kava product extracted using a non-organic solvent.

Dairy Product Analogs and Processes for Making Same
Provided are non-dairy yogurt analogs that have qualities similar to those of dairy-based yogurts. Certain embodiments are to plant-based yogurt analogs comprising fermented plant protein isolates and/or gelled plant protein isolates. Also provided are processes for production of such non-dairy yogurt analogs. For instance, a method for producing a plant-based yogurt mixture capable of being used to make a plant-based yogurt analog comprising the steps of: a) obtaining an essentially dairy-free base for a yogurt formulation that includes a plant-based derivative, such as a paste; and b) adding an acid to said formulation. Thereafter, the plant-based yogurt formulation may be used to manufacture a plant-based yogurt analog comprising the steps of: a) heating a plant-based yogurt mixture at for a first pre-determined amount of time while stirring; b) allowing the mixture to cool; c) adding yogurt cultures to the resultant mixture; and d) incubating the resultant mixture for a second pre-determined amount of time to produce a plant-based yogurt analog.
